  1. Jenny, I've been seeing where the Fantasy doesn't do Dive-In movies, and Carnival's website didn't list the Fantasy as a ship that does movies. Where were these movies shown if not by the pool?
  2. Hey y'all. We will be going on our first anniversary cruise in a couple of months. On our honeymoon cruise we noticed a lot of stateroom doors with special decor on them. We decided since you only have a first anniversary once, we wanted to decorate our door. I want to be able to reuse anything bought like magnets or pictures, so I don't want anything specific to this cruise if I can help it. What are some fun ideas? Show me your favorite doors!
  3. We're sailing on the Fantasy in April. Does anyone have a picture of the current Fun Times? We'd like to get an idea of what's going on around the ship and what movies might be playing.
  4. It's not having too much stuff as much as it is keeping things handy and untangled, I'm always looking for a better system to keep things off the floor and precious counter and table tops. I hadn't thought of the hamper before, we always use the empty suitcase for dirty clothes. Thanks!
  5. Thank y'all! I'll keep that in mind when packing my magnets and planning storage.
  6. I've seen many suggestions for this. It's a good idea to keep things in easy reach and off the tiny table and desk tops. Thanks!
  7. We are cruising on the Fantasy in April, and I'm getting a game plan for stateroom storage. Are the walls in the Fantasy magnetic? We had cruised on the Triumph last year and found that the walls were not magnetic, the only door that was magnetic was the stateroom door, and the metal around the window and mirror was just strong enough to hold our magnetic hooks with jewelry/fans/bags, etc. so I'm wondering if it's the same situation on the Fantasy.
  8. Here is one on Amazon. You need to make sure anything you get is flame retardant. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HH6NLQ4/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=themusterstation-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B01HH6NLQ4&linkId=9604c85a6eb69026da508a2169dc92a8
  9. Definitely choose Cozumel as your beach day. Don't do like we did and save Progreso as the beach day. The beach and the water is not near as pretty as in Cozumel. We went to the beach that is next to the pier (a good long drive along the pier). When we got off the bus, we were right outside a small straw market that we had to weave through to get to the restaurant area around the beach. A great place to sightsee, but not a good beach location. If you're up for some tasty, inexpensive, educational fun, I highly recommend the KaoKao Chocolate Factory tour. It's $25 a person and the tour only takes an hour, although if it's just a small family you get a lot longer tour. Eduardo is very passionate about the factory and the history of chocolate, and taught us the history, how to make our own chocolate, showed us around the factory, and told us many interesting facts. Well worth the money. And they have a nice little gift shop with their products and good (real!) Mexican vanilla, as well as a small museum. There was a big group there when we were there so we didn't get to see the museum, but I'd love to go back. Be sure and have the address though! Not all the locals know where it is (our taxi driver had to look it up).
  10. This is a question for all the seasoned cruisers out there. We are going to Costa Maya for the afternoon/evening, then to Cozumel for the whole day. We have already been to Cozumel, going on a horseback ride with Mr. Sanchos and touring the KaoKao Chocolate Factory, as well as doing shopping at the port. The water was beautiful making us envious of those who had opted for using Cozumel as their beach day (we did Progreso, and that was not near as pretty). What we would like to know is this: would Cozumel be the best port for a beach day (which we are thinking about doing) and saving Costa Maya for our exploring/shopping, or the other way around? Which is the better beach? Also, would either port be considered decent to walk a half hour to get to a location, or would hiring a taxi be the recommendation? What are some recommended activities that are relatively inexpensive in both ports? Thanks in advance!
