  1. My husband and I finally decided to request the 100% refund for our January 2nd cruise instead of taking the OBC. I filled out the paperwork yesterday and received a confirmation email. Today I received a cancellation letter that says our deposit was non refundable and we’ve been charged the penalty. The letter reads as if we just chose to cancel our cruise but of course we didn’t. Has this happened to anyone else? I’m currently on hold with Carnival now.
  2. Our next cruise is January 2, 2021 - Carnival Breeze out of Ft. Lauderdale. Then we have January 8, 2020 - Carnival Mardi Gras out of Miami. We booked an Aft Excel Suite and are really looking forward to it!
  3. Assuming the TA could offer a rate equal to or better than Carnival I’d likely book with her again. Her service has been excellent and I really appreciate the extra perks we were offered.
  4. Just sharing my experience. I typically always book our cruises through Carnival and have a Jan 2022 cruise on Mardi Gras. We decided to upgrade our room from an Aft Premium View Balcony to the Excel Aft Suite. I called Carnival to upgrade and was told that I was going to lose my $100 OBC that I had been given if I upgraded. Needless to say I was not pleased to literally be giving Carnival thousands more and have an OBC that was already given to me taken away. I transferred my booking to a TA, upgraded my room, and received tons of perks including a $250 OBC. What’s even crazier is that this
  5. My husband and I were also on this cruise! We had a Havana aft extended balcony. Best room we’ve ever had. Best Carnival Ship. It was an amazing trip for us. It did take a few days to stop rocking lol.

  7. I took my Hydroflask on a Thanksgiving sailing on Sunrise and plan to take it again on Horizon next week. I've never had any issues bringing a water bottle on board.
  8. My husband and I always use ‘Whats App’ to communicate with our kids. I purchase the WiFi Value plan. We can text and sometimes get calls to go through. We’ll be on Horizon in January without our teenagers and will utilize Whats App once again.

  10. You took the words right from my fingers shof515 lol. You should be able to do a 24 courtesy hold and sometimes you can even extend the hold past 24 hours.
  11. I'm so sorry to hear this. I lost a furbaby in July and it's heartbreaking. I was literally just looking up info on Jack's Shack since I'll be in Grand Turk in Januay and had looked through Topher's pictures this morning. Saying a prayer for Topher's human family and Calypso from South Carolina.
  12. Our cruise isn’t until Jan 2022. We’ve already got cruises booked before then so that’s the earliest that we could squeeze in Mardi Gras.
