  1. Funny, before we got our ships changes (to Royal) we were in D421 and I was thinking how convenient it would be to be near the stairs. We have been by stairs and pretty close to elevators with no issue as well. I like being able to hop on the stairs and go wherever we need to go without waiting for elevators.
  2. That is probably a good idea. Who would be the person in charge? I know when I go to Disney the chef actually comes and talks to me to let me know what foods are okay (again, this was pre-celiac).
  3. I have 2 dietary restrictions: Seafood and celiacs (so no gluten) both are listed on my cruise summary but I always reminded the server (when I only had the Seafood allergy) and they were helpful. I have been told that the gluten issue will get you your own "menu" and special dishes are designed for those of us with celiacs or a gluten sensitivity. I hope that is correct.
  4. Mine is working too. Still shows that we're going to stay in the Wilderness cabins--pretty sure that's wrong but it is interesting that they made that kind of an error.
  5. I didn't intend to argue with the application of the law, I just don't fully understand it. (I even started reading it and still just went 🤷‍♂️) I'm sure there was a very good reason for its initial application, it just seems odd, that's all.
  6. I love Vancouver: beautiful city. But right now, it would be nice not to have to worry about covid testing in and out of Canada. I would love to go to Canada again as soon as all the Covid restrictions are gone. Believe me, I don't blame Canada for wanting to keep US citizens out (right now) but it does put a crimp in travel plans. I don't know all the ins and outs of why we have to travel to a foreign port-assuming it might have to do with labor laws to some extent, at least, but it does seem silly that we can't go from Seattle to Alaska without a Canada stop...
  7. Just wondering: you said your mini suite had blocked vision due to the Sea Walk. What deck were you on and what room(if you don't mind answering) We are doing a sailing next year on the Royal and we are under the Sea Walk and it has me a bit concerned. Thanks
  8. While shopping for my Alaska trip, weirdly, the larger ship (majestic) was more expensive by about $100 or so. I don't know why but it was. In looking at the 2 cabins they have actually upgraded you from a ME category to a MD category so I think they probably think they are doing a good deed. They moved you from the forward area of the ship to pretty much midship. I would also classify that as a "good deal" since I tend to get a bit of a weird feeling near the front of the ship. I don't think they are doing a lot of "negotiating" since they are scrambling to just get everyone's reservations transferred to the new ship. I was hoping to get an angle balcony since I have a club level cabin, but no luck, they were all filled. I am unhappy that they removed Ketchikan but I know Victoria is a nice city, too so I'm hoping for the best. Good luck!
  9. Well, this is exactly what I would think. I thought it would be cool but really didn't think it was right. Interesting to see when they make the correction.
  10. I was looking at my cruise summary for a land/sea tour. It indicates that we will be taken from Anchorage to Denali by bus (as expected) but will be "dropped off at the Denali Cabins for your connection to the Backcountry Lodge." I have no idea what this is. We are supposed to stay at the Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge" Anyone have any idea what they are talking about? I would call but the hold time is crazy... Thanks
  11. Thank you this worked Thank you: this worked perfectly!
  12. I followed your instructions and today mine says Victoria(no ketchikan) but it does appear that your itinerary is longer than mine.
  13. We are going the last week in May so this is good to hear. Last time we went in August and it was rainy much of the time. We still enjoyed it but we did get wet--A LOT
  14. I just got an email from Princess giving me my new booking number and inviting me to book EZ Air. HOWEVER, neither the booking number nor the EZ Air link actually work. You also cannot manage your cruise yet. They really haven't thought through that this just causes more confusion and potential calls. I would do an online chat but I can never seem to find it when I want it on their website. PS By the way, I already had airfare booked but who knows where it went, because I can't see it....
  15. Oops! Sorry, I didn't go far enough. Seems like I need to keep my eyes peeled in the next month or so.
  16. Does anyone know when Oceania brings out the new itineraries for the summer season for Europe? I'm hoping that the restrictions could be lifted by then and I want to try to get the Rome/Greek trip we have had to cancel twice. Thanks.
  17. I found this on the park service website for 2021: Tundra Wilderness Tour Mile 62, Stony Hill Overlook 7-8 Hours $162.50 $73.75 June 1 - September 16 Toklat Tundra Wilderness Tour Mile 53, Toklat River 7-8 Hours $140.75 $63.00 May 20 - May 31
  18. Oh, I want to know this too. We are booked for the end of May and are supposed to have a tour into Denali (the lengthy tour). This is really not good if they booked us on a tour that doesn't exist. We have already gotten notice of a ship change....
  19. Pretty sure this is where those balconies are: below is D420. bigger than some but not huge.
  20. Can't give you those pictures but here is D227. The ones you are looking at are bigger, I think, but not as big as D227. D226 is also the same. They are in a lower class (and less money) than the rooms next to them to the left but are also slightly smaller cabin. They were bigger than some of the suites as I remember.
  21. I hope we get the Lake or something close to that.
  22. I wish you could, too, haha. I guess it is advertising/promotion for a particular TA but sharing that info sure would be helpful. The one I use doesn't represent all cruise companies...
