  1. Was looking at the 360 views of the concierge stateroom and it showed a tub in the bathroom. Was under the impression that all bathrooms have stand alone showers?
  2. We got off of the Mariner on March 1 which was 17 days before our actual cruise ended (we were supposed to end in Singapore). All the ports after Sydney to Singapore had been cancelled and many more ports in Australia had been substituted. Many other cruisers took the same option. Most who remained were on the World Cruise (Miami or San Francisco to Miami) We were booked on a terrific (but long) flight from Sydney to Houston and then after clearing customs and immigration there to Miami. We were offered our money back for the unused portion and 25% off another cruise in 2020 (we had signed up
  3. We will be joining the Mariner in Tahiti and will sail to Singapore. Looking so forward to your posts!!
  4. We are arriving in Tahiti at 10:30 PM. We called Regent to add an extra night at the hotel (where we have 1 night as part of the concierge cabin package) and were told it would be $500 per person!!! We called the hotel and got the room for $260 for both of us but it doesn't include breakfast or transfer from the airport. Still a lot cheaper!!! And we can keep the hotel room both nights.
  5. One of the directors at our bridge club is on this cruise (he is also a national director and directs at big tournaments). He is not directing on this cruise. His name is Bernie and his wife's name is Mary and they live in south Florida Have you met them?
  6. You can buy insurance according to how much money you have actually paid. For example when you make your initial payment you insure only that much. Then at the next installment you insure that much. This way if you have to cancel you have only paid part of the insurance and not all of it. This covers pre existing because you have taken out the insurance as soon as you booked the cruise.

  8. We are flying in to Tahiti for 2 legs of the World Cruise on Mariner Feb. 9. The flight does not get in until 10:30 PM (we did not have a lot of options on flights). We are Concierge and get a free night but chose to fly in one day early. Checked with Regent prices for an extra night--$500 per person!!!! We got a room through the hotel for $250. But we had to get our own transportation from airport (which is 1 mile away). Found a company who would do it for $40 (USD). Just hoping we can keep the same room for the next night which is covered by Regent. The alternative was to sleep in the lobby
  9. We pre-registered for our November cruise and sent in pictures,etc. Were told our boarding time was between 1:00 and 1:30. We had planned on getting to ship earlier and we are in a Junior Suite. Will we be able to board earlier (11:30)?

  11. We booked a 3 meal specialty dining package (Symphony of the Seas) and we are with a bridge group who also is giving us another night in a specialty restaurant. We cannot book the restaurants until we are aboard. We want to eat late (8:00). Does anyone foresee any problems getting this time? (table for 2)
  12. We are going on the Christmas cruise with our children and adult grandchildren on the Nieuw Amsterdam. Cannot find any information about cabanas by the pool. Only see that they have them on an upper deck. Remember from a previous cruise on another Holland ship that they had them by the pool also.
  13. Tried to sign up for excursions yesterday for our Mariner trip next February (Sydney to Singapore). We had already been able to select the excursions for the first leg (Tahiti to Sydney) a couple of weeks ago and had trouble then. Signing up on their web sight is a disaster because as soon as you put it in your cart and go back to select another one the first ones disappear. Happened three times and finally we called the toll free number listed and an agent got it done for us in 2 minutes. We are skilled at doing this as we have been on over 80 cruises. Why so much trouble now????
