Has been this way since the resumption of sailing, I can't speak to the reasoning, other than to postulate that there is no guarantee what entertainment will be available and at what capacity until near the times the ships actually sail.

That's a bummer. Hopefully we'll be able to make reservations before our May cruise. We like having the entertainment scheduled.

Amazing..this is the same thing that came up when I Googled Royal Caribbean COVID refund policy!

For even more details, the long form of the policy can be found at https://www.royalcaribbean.com/content/dam/royal/resources/pdf/covid-19-cancellations-and-refunds-policy.pdf

Neither of these cover cruises after April 30, 2022. The same date the CWC program ends.

  3. We were in a JS on Harmony the first week of March. As soon as I got on the ship I went to the MDR, who then called the CK and made dinner reservations for us for the first two nights. They said they could only reserve two days and not the entire week at once. But after the first night we canceled our second night reservation and didn't go back. Not because the food was terrible or the service was bad. Infact, the food was fantastic, and the service from our server was awesome. Our filet mignon was sooo good.

It was just a "bit" too fancy for our three boys, 6, 9, 11. The kids menu is even fancy. :D And constantly worried about keeping our kids on their best behavior was stressful. It's funny, because on our cruise the year before on Oasis. We felt stressed out keeping the kids inline at dinner in the MDR. But after going from the CK to the MDR on Harmony, we weren't as stressed about eating in the MDR. Ha. Don't get me wrong, our kids aren't crazy. I just don't want to bother anyone around us if they get rowdy as three boys can do.

So now, for our next cruise. We booked on Symphony without the kids. Just adults, and I look forward to eating in the CK again.

  4. I've read on here that some people have had trouble booking the Coastal kitchen for dinner every night while staying in a Jr. Suite. If my wife and I were in a 1bdrm Grand suite and a couple of friends in a Jr. suite, would we be able to make reservations every night for the Coastal kitchen and include them in the reservation?

Also, we will have a stop in CocoCay. I've seen some rumblings about a suite area on the island. If so, is it like Labadee where you can invite non suite guests to the area/cabana?

What about reserved seating for shows? I know Sky has reserved seating, but could we take our two friends with us to the reserved seating area?

  5. So we just got off Harmony a couple of weeks ago, and are planning another cruise for Fall of 2019. We may end up on Harmony again. Do you know if the shows change each year, or do you know if they will be changing by Fall of next year? Just wondering if we will be seeing the same shows. Not that it would be horrible. Fine Line was flipping fantastic! Columbus was funny, and 1887 was very fun as well. We will be going with some friends who have never cruised before. Might as well start them BIG. :D
