  1. Thank you, maybe I'll get the email tomorrow since we sail on Monday.
  2. @Tree_skier, I'm sailing on Navigator on Monday and haven't gotten this email--although I got one alerting me to the fact that the bridge from Long Beach to San Pedro and all the roads by the port, will be closed starting at 5 am for a race. Can't wait for that mess--I'm sure those trying to get off the ship and get to the airport will not be pleased. But I'm curious when you got the 'guest requests' email?
  3. Yep, I saw that today. Glad I booked one for my December sailing a long time ago when it was $199. Is $399 for a beach bed a price they are using to prep us for 'two loungers and umbrella--$199'?
  4. By process of elimination: Sea class is junior suites--there are only 8 junior suites on deck 12 Muster EO3 is starboard side, so that narrows it down to the 4 JS on starboard side. The four on that side are 12626, 12630, 12632 and 12636. My guess would be it will be one of those four. Deck 12 is a great location!
  5. that's insane and nowhere close to being worth it. (And I buy the Key most of the time it's offered) As far as wifi being $20.99 per day, if you need it for more than one person for all the days, buying for one person but choosing multiple devices (2, 3 or 4) saves you some money versus each person buying for just one device at $20.99 per day.
  6. Things may have changed in the last few months, but when I was on Navigator, you needed to book those as soon as you boarded and connected to the app. For ice skating long pants and socks will be required. When you do book a spot, show up pretty early to get in line. It's popular and the sessions aren't very long, so getting in line so you're ready when your time opens up will be helpful.
  7. @Mslmesq Here are views of Jamie's and Chops so you can see what I mean about long, but not very wide.
  8. the spaces on Navigator, at least for Chops and Jamies, are long rooms, not particularly wide. I think the max I've seen a table set up for is 8-10, but not sure if they could fit them all next to each other with the way the space is laid out.
  9. we usually go about 20 to 25 minutes early--get a drink from one of the waiters that is wandering past....and then people watch till the show starts. The suite/Key seats for the ice show are good ones!
  10. No reservations. You show up early and if you're in a full suite, they have an area sectioned off for suites. But they open it up to everyone about 10 to 15 minutes before the show.
  11. She's a farily new ship, not much 'cleaning up' to do. She had maintenance done in her drydock (think of your car--oil change, tune up). But she's already got all the bells and whistles and is nowhere old enough to need cosmetic upgrades or updates. She's a great ship, one of my favorites--enjoy!
  12. Not all OV balcony rooms that have a connecting door are category CB. There are some 1D/2D , 1C/2C and 3D/4D OV balcony rooms that also have a connecting door. So that would make a difference for @Hawaiianislanddoll to know so they can look at the exact same category when going a mock booking before calling to see if they can switch.
  13. I agree. It would be nice to have an official spokesperson. Not like Carnival with the zillion posts and polls and elevnty billion comments. Just some good info for guests that comes straight from someone at Royal. I know they send emails to 'affected guests' but not everyone gets those, or guests/family of guests are hoping to see an update on either the website like airlines do, or social media.
  14. He said he would be working with the captains themselves, not likely the public. He said he'd let the captains do the communicating.
  15. Keep in mind that you won't have specific reserved seats. There's a section for suites, but it fills up quickly as well. If you're Star class and have a Genie, that would probably make a difference, but if you're Sky class and you want 4 seats together in the area blocked off for suite guests, you'll still want to get there a bit on the early side. I'd do 5 to 5:15 if you're wanting a 'sit down' meal at Coastal Kitchen versus going to the buffet.
  16. if you kept reading the posts until the end, you'd have seen that she realized that a couple of weeks ago.
  17. It can be accepted even after the ship has already sailed. Which means someone missed the ship and now the room category you bid in has an opening. So you'd pack up and move to the upgraded room.
  18. As others have said, no ice show reservations needed on that class of ship (only needed on Oasis Class). For a short while after the return from Covid, they were required so they could manage the amount of people attending since half the seats were blocked for social distancing. But they got rid of that about a year ago. If you want a good seat, just show up fairly early and enjoy some people watching while you wait for the show to start.
  19. That's going to start becoming more and more problematic for a lot of things. Alaska Airlines now only uses the digital boarding passes, no machines at the airport that spit out a paper one either. They are a fairly large carrier, especially in the west. I'm guessing other airlines will be making this move as well, and sounds like cruises are doing the same. Perhaps you can call Royal and see if there's an option for them to check you in over the phone.
  20. Aside from the pizza, what I found interesting was the model for the dining package they also asked about. Yes, $399, but it would get you $499 worth of food credit. Note, it didn't say 'unlimited dining' and here's why. In their one scenario, all the specialty dining would be priced a la carte. When you run out of package credit, that's it. The rest is on you. $499 is about $71 per day for the 7 day cruise. Most people would run out of that credit well before the end of the cruise by the time you add in a dinner at chops, maybe lunch or a snack at Playmakers--or a perhaps a slice or 2 of pizza? 😛 Forget about a second appetizer, dessert...and definitely entrees. The other idea that was floated was $399 and you could go to the specialty restaurant and choose 1 appetizer, 1 entree, 1 dessert. No a la carte pricing, but limits amount you can have.
