True. In fact when we were there last week, two in the group ordered without and one ordered with. When the bill came (we had ordered up-charge wine) it turned out that there were no upcharges at all for the filet, even the one with the fois gras. So bonus!! We would have happily changed cabins with you, had we known! LOL

1st time on NCL - Questions about Norwegian Epic?
GuelphCruisers replied to mrsbunder's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
When we sailed on the Epic, we had a balcony stateroom. The shower was on one side, with a frosted door, and the toilet was on the other side, also with a frosted door for privacy. The sink was right in the hallway. I was not a fan of this arrangement, however my wife loved it. She loved everything about the Epic. I think it is her favorite ship. Only due to the bathroom layout, I would rank it lower than NCL ships. -
Any recent hash brown sightings?
GuelphCruisers replied to Seas2mountains's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
You’ll have to talk to my sister, she is setting up the Tim Hortons Kiosk in her stateroom. LOL Sure, the cream is no problem - don’t even ask me how she is getting several bottles of Bailey’s into her room. 😄 -

OMG! 😮 So one more thing to bring onboard ourselves, after: Tim Hortons Coffee (the real McCoy) 18% Cream for said coffee Real Quebec Maple Syrup an ample supply of Clamato Juice for our Bloody Caesars now - enough Hash Browns for a weeks worth of breakfasts... Sheesh, eh? -
Supper Club>Escape,yes or no?
GuelphCruisers replied to elliotlake12's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
We're going to be going on the Escape in 4 weeks, and like the OP, kind of on the fence about trying it for one evening just for a change. But after the reviews above, I'm still not sold. Sounds like I'm better off staying with the Main dining room, and lining up for the Pour House for the entertainment there. -
I called today and the shorex person I spoke with said they are in the process of adding them all back in. While we were speaking she manually added mine back in for extra peace of mind. But even if you don't call them, the excursions should be fully restored in a couple more days (according to them).

Uh-oh! My DW won't be happy. While I'm good with the coffee-mate she enjoys real cream with her coffee. She'd settle for Half-and-Half, but we buy 18% cream for coffee at home. I guess we could bring a carton with us.

We did it years ago, on the Epic. It was a blast! There was just the two of us plus two singles - one from the US, and the other from Norway (or Denmark). (They met in the Solo lounge, and I think they were dating at this point). We all agreed to stay as long as possible and have fun. It really wasn't that cold. We outlasted the bartender, who after an hour just said, okay - here are the bottles, you're on your own! Every time she popped out to warm up, we'd pour another round. Great memories!
