  1. Count us in the same position! Booked some time ago for a cruise in January in a Sky suite on the Solstice and the TA said we had $700 from X plus $300 from the TA. However, the booking was showing $1300 from X until a couple days ago when it dropped to $700 without explanation.
  2. As a general comment to all who are in a rush to get an early flight after a cruise, I understand wanting to get home, but why put yourself through all that stress? Just get a later flight! Especially when flying internationally. There was a thread on here the other day from someone wondering if they could make an 8:30am flight if the ship docked at 3am. WTH!!!!
  3. I agree. All advice is to put medication in your carry-on. I don't want to beat you up about it, because a) it's not my business and b) I'm sure you learned from it! This would be my first move. Being medication, it should carry a little more weight than, say, a lost charger!
  4. I’ll grab my popcorn. My two cents FWIW. I would NEVER cruise without a passport, no matter what some say!
  5. If you no longer want to cruise, how does it put a 'new skew on future cruises'??????
  6. Thanks. Already done. There are no issues and the scooter will go on the plane without problem.
  7. We were told it was a glitch in the software and couldn't be changed. I'm sure if we were having issues with the original room, it could be taken care of, but changing rooms wouldn't work. We had to use our key card and the controls in the room, but the app couldn't be updated.
  8. We're booked in a Sky Suite for Jan 28th and not in the least bit worried. I know we'll be well taken care of and if we find a frayed carpet, we won't lose any sleep over it! IMHO, people pay far too muh attention. to negative reviews. In my experience, if you want to find fault, you will, but if you want to enjoy your vacation, you'll have a far better experience!
  9. As a standard booking, Sky Suites come with the Premium. drinks package included along with streaming Wi-FI, tips and OBC. There are exceptions, so it's best to check if you booked through Blue Chip or fare-only. You also don' get upgraded from the original perks if you got the suite through a Move-Up offer.
  10. Yes, we have an accessible suite booked. The original plan was to rent from Special Needs At Sea, which I booked, but won't need. I think I'll lose $50 for cancelling, but having my own should be a lot better! Thanks for your reply.
  11. We bought a Golden BuzzAround LT three-wheeled scooter today and I was wondering how it would be handled by the airline. I know we’ll have no problem with X (we’ll be on Solstice in January in an accessible Sky Suite). However, we’re flying Delta from Atlanta to John Wayne in L.A. This will be the first time flying with a scooter, so is there anything I need to do or consider?
  12. Be aware that due to limitations of the software, changing rooms on an E class ship will result in the app no longer controlling the room tv, temp, curtains, etc. We moved rooms on Apex in January and found this out.
  13. I understand the Elevate package is no longer offered, so I'm not surprised you can't find any information on the X website. Yuu'd need to check with your TA or if you. booked direct, X themselves.
  14. Are you serious? Not only are they illegal, the optics are so bad they could do extreme damage to your eyes! I would be surprised if this site would even allow discussion on fake goods.
  15. Yes. Items are usually previous generations and sold at current prices (without tax). Selection is limited.
  16. Alaska is still our favorite destination.
  17. We’re in a Sky Suite but like to have breakfast before we disembark. I have limited mobility but we intend to get an Uber to the airport. How comfortable is this time? The airline changed our departure time from 2:40pm.
  18. I have a scooter booked for an upcoming cruise but it won’t be available until I get to our suite. For the first time ever for me, I’m considering asking for wheelchair assistance getting to the ship. What is an acceptable tip for this service? I realize it’s subjective, but a starting point would be useful. If it matters, I’ll be on the Solstice in January leaving from Los Angeles.
  19. I think officially, the Classic package includes fountain soda, but in practice, most bars will give out cans (or at least fill a glass from one). You can usually request an unopened can if you want to take one back to your cabin and place it in your fridge.
  20. Get a passport! IMO, it’s madness to cruise without one. What happens if you miss getting back to the ship after a late excursion or worse, you are ill or have an accident?
  21. I may need this service. I have a scooter booked but it won’t be there for embarkation, but delivered to our stateroom. What is the usual tip for wheelchair assistance?
  22. You can find the prices at Apple.com. You won’t find any bargains on a cruise ship! If you’re holding out in case they get new stock, I wouldn’t hold your breath. Even if they do, it’s highly unlikely they’ll get the latest models.
  23. Celebrity has a partnership with Apple, so you won’t find Kindle or any other Android products on board. Previous models are typically sold at full price (tax free) and new models are due in September. Personally, unless I had non-refundable OBC to use up, I’d buy on land.
  24. We're visiting in late January 2023 if that makes a difference.
  25. Following. We're in a Sky Suite on the Jan 28th sailing.
