Has anyone had a recent chefs table experience ?We will be on the Sunrise in Oct, and I am wondering about a new menu and the quality of the menu. Thanks for any help.

We did the Chef's Table on the Miracle (Alaskan Fare Menu). It was a great menu:

    Usual small appetizers

    Smoked Salmon Patte

    King Crab Bisque

    Lump Dungeness crab salad

    Filet of Halibut

    Grilled Elk

NY Cheesecake w/ Fresh Alaskan Blueberries, and

    White and Red wine (unlimited)........

And of course, I'm kidding. It was the same ole menu they've used for years.

However, for $75 pp, it was we'll worth it, but wouldn't do it again.

how do you make reservations in the cruise planner without paying yet?  I want to make a reservation for 6 people (3 cabins) and it wants me to pay for all of it now.

In the past you use to be able to reserve tablet via email. If I recall correctly, even in Dec 2019 (Freedom), we had to either  prepay to get the day and times we desired or wait until we boarded for reservations and take our chances.

Also went for the 11:00 check in.  You are kinda freaking me out how we met on here an soo much alike ha.

ok, no on the United Club. Well, be the cute couple (JK) patiently waiting at the gate wearing mask. Anyway I'll either have on an 2019 Astros Champion cap,  after all we're going to Seattle and we pretty much own them (no stones Seattle people, Scott Servais was one of my favorite Astros), or a Landshark cap.

We've been on self quarntine (sp) since the new protocol came out. I hope this test person knows how to read the results properly (-)

I am no expert, but I have read do not take light rail.  Like a mile walk with luggage from where it stops to pier?????

We're on the same flight out of IAH. What time is your check-in at Pier 91. We opted for 11:00, but will probably get there a little before then. We're doing Capair from SEATAC to the hotel (pier 66 area), and then scheduled an Uber for the day of departure.

Hope all goes well on the 15ht with the rapid test, have a good flight, and maybe see you on board during the cruise.

Arriving the day before we depart on our cruise in Seattle.   Is it worth going  back to the airport to catch the Carnival Cruise transport bus or should we just Uber from hotel?  I see it is like 30.00 bucks a person and you have to sign up for Carnival airport shuttle bus.  It is for my husband and myself, so 2 people. If we take Carnival bus, do they handle the luggage once we get to pier??   Right now I am thinking it will just be easier to Uber vs. going back to the airport.  Anyone have experience with this????

So periodically I go in and check my scheduled cruises, I have already completed questionnaire regarding Vaccine Survey but this morning the survey is back up and every time I answer it saves and then goes back to complete survey.  Anyone else seeing this, we cruise to Alaska on the 10th?

We leave on the 17th, and like you I go periodically and check. I too have already completed the questionnaire, except this morning it wasn't crossed out like before. When I click on it to complete, I get the Oops, something must be wrong prompt. Hopefully it's just a tech issue.

Make sure you know what the watch would cost you in the US, warranty info, returns, etc. If sticker shock isn't enough, ask about maintenance costs - traditional watches (automatic/manual), as opposed to quartz for example, can have obscene periodic maintenance costs. Keep the suckers going, even if you need to get an automatic winder.

You should be able to call any of the stores and get pricing. It isn't like you can bargain (much) with them.

All good points! I was foolish and purchased a nice Movado in Cozumel (mistake). A few years later the battery needed to be changed. I took it the Movado authorized dealer in Houston. He took the back off and said, " this is not a Movado battery". I explained no one else has had the back open, in which he reply, " bought it on a cruise, right". I knew then I had been screwed.

I'm curious too.  I'm assuming no customs for US citizens since we're leaving from and returning to a US port and aren't visiting any foreign ports.  First time I've (or any of us) have ever done that!  I'll be sure to report back with all the details!

FWIW, We have a casino ship that use to go out of The Corpus area, don't know if it still does. But they would go to international waters to gamble then return the same night, same port,  no passport required for that.

Princess’s cruise itineraries are way different.  This ties to what Carnival has stated with the beginning of their plan with the Horizon and the Breeze.  This seems to fit along those those lines.  This process will be one at a time, one step at a time.

    We did in Texas.

Only covered Caribbean cruises including some this December which may or may not actually take place.

The "resident sale" would mean more to me if they still sailed out of the Port of Houston.

when pre-purchasing excursions you can only use OBC that is already credited to your account.

So true, forgot that part. We make sure we use our shareholder and any OBC for pre-purchased excursions.
