I was in 1066 on my last cruise and will be in 1065 on my next one. I have travelled in Outside cabins on Deck 1 before in about the same location and have never noticed any noises.
Personally I would choose an Oceanview rather than an Inside because I like natural light.
One friend travelled Inside and then got Norovirus and said it was terrible to be stuck inside like that for 3 days. In those circumstances, a balcony would be better.
I have sailed QV only twice both mid ships deck one and I agree with everyone's comments about convenient location.
However, in May '18 we sailed in 1065 and it was very quiet we were not disturbed at all, but in September '18 we sailed in 1056 on the opposite side of the ship and if there was anything going on in the Queens Room, be it the 9.15 am Zumba class or the Bands at 11pm you definitely heard it in this cabin.
Both cabins were ocean view and the Force Eight Gale coming out of Korculla was a sight to be seen, QV handled it like a dream.
Happy sailing

Hi Hattie,
Great reviews so far. We join QV on 29th of this month and are really looking forward to it. Just a quick question...can we get diet tonic water on the ship to go with out gin or is it as difficult as it seems to be every where else on the cruise ships!
Peter and Jenny
Hi Peter & Jenny,
QV has Fever Tree light which is perfect for diabetics ( or so my husband tells me and he's been one for a very long time ) he also drinks FTL at home with his Tanqueray, with no problems.

Kate, yes you should be able to purchase Bahia de Denia in a good wine merchant in Barcelona, if only you could stay onboard a couple of days, we're bringing some onboard. Sorry you picked up the storm but you will miss it in Barcelona. Have a great evening

Kate, thank you for the Chart Room menu that's very helpful to me, I appreciate you taking the time out to share that, hope you have a lovely day in Valencia, it seems really strange that you and Victoria are only an hour down the motorway from us today. If you see a Spanish wine 'Bahia de Denia' give it a try, it's grown (the grapes obviously) here in our valley (Vall de Pop) and has won many awards in recent years. Keep sharing, we all enjoy it, but first and foremost have a great time.

Hi Kate, I know on a previous thread you asked about things to do in Port whilst on your Mediterranean sojourn, I've attached a link to Palacio de Musica - http://www.palaumusica.cat/en/programme_314?date=2018-09-10&subset=upcoming - there is a performance on 10th (Flamenco and Spanish Guitar) - the building is a UNESCO heritage site - I know you mentioned you are staying in Barcelona for a couple of days. Have a lovely day...are there still Yoga classes onboard?

Thank you so much for your great posts, we join in Barcelona on the 10th and you are making even more special with yours posts, they're so informative but fun too. Having sailed QV only once before I didn't realise you could get a lighter lunch in the chart room, have a lovely day today.

Thank you that's really helpful, this will only be our second cruise, we went to the fjords in May on QV but didn't get chance to check out the library. We will pick her up again in Barcelona in just under two weeks.

Is the library on the QV the same for paperbacks?

Thank you I was a little confused as I am new to the Queens, we are doing a TA next June on Mary and have a sheltered balcony and I very much like the idea of it but we just have a balcony on Victoria in September.
All the posts always offer great help and advice and generally a cross section of views. Thank you

Are there any sheltered balcony cabins on QV?

Thank you I will look into that' I appreciate everyone's help

Thank you for your reply, I was hoping for someone's personal experience but I really appreciate the thought. We're considering parking at Barcelona airport in undercover garage as we use a similar thing in ALICANT and then just jumping into a cab to our hotel which is part of the Cunard deal

My Husband and I sail QV from Barcelona for 21 nights on 10th September and we will be driving to the port in Barcelona with our English plated car, we need somewhere secure to park, does anyone have any experience of 'long term' parking in Barcelona?

Hello, please could someone advise me if there are yoga classes on SilverSea, my husband and I will do our first SS cruise around the Caribbean in December on the new ship and I'm hoping there will be yoga classes?
Thank you you for taking the time to reply.
