  1. I felt the same way your husband does and talked my DH into an all inclusive to Cuba last March. Although the resort and the beach were beautiful, the food and entertainment was not even close to what we get on NCL cruises. We did get a little bored of doing the same thing each day, but overall it was a very relaxing vacation. Would I choose an all-inclusive over a cruise again? Probably not.
  2. They were onboard when we sailed the Jewel in mid November.
  3. She is...!!! An outstanding production!!! :)
  4. Appreciate it Al, you may find Mitch playing the music for the White Hot Party..it's usually his gig. :D
  5. Hi Al, Thanks for posting live from the Jewel and keeping the memories alive. We disembarked on Nov 13th and are still suffering from post cruise depression. :( You would make someone's day if you could send our hugs & love to DJ Mitchum one of Que's cruise staff...tell him it's from his Canadian family...he'll understand. :) Thanks if you can!!!! :D
  6. Hi again, the balcony's I found were comparable. Whatever you decide I hope you have a great time. :)
  7. We were on the Glory a few years ago and had a terrible time with teenagers running wild, especially on the last two days. I can handle quite a bit but it really did get out of hand. We were also not big fans of the layout of the ship. On the positive side the food was good and the shows were great. We just got off the Jewel a couple of weeks ago and loved her. It has two pools ( one adult ) were we spent a lot of time and had a blast. The food and shows were comparable to Carnival. The cruise Director ( Que ) was also excellent. There is an area at the stern of the ship called the " great outdoors " which was fantastic for morning coffee One last positive would be " freestyle cruising ", it's not for everyone but we sure love it. :)
  8. Absolutely the best beach and the best NCL shore excursion we have ever been on. Prior to the cruise, we tried to book a private catamaran to Jost Van Dyke, but decided to go the "safe" route through NCL...no regrets. Our "catamaran", which was actually two decks and motorized, got us as close as possible to the beach in front of the Soggy Dollar Bar. We swam ashore, where we spent the afternoon enjoying Painkillers, crystal blue water, white sandy beach, and great company. It was one of the highlights of our 14 day cruise...but don't tell anyone...it's our secret....;)
  9. Definitely moisturizers...and as soon as our room steward noticed I was using it, several more bottles appearing in our cabin. WELCOME TO NCL :D
  10. I absolutely loved the Elemis shower gel we had in our BA on the Jewel. It had a nice minty scent and taking a shower was like aromatherapy...oh how I miss it...!!!
  11. My question then is....why?????? I asked whether non-alcoholic beer was served on NCL...this was a totally inappropriate answer IMHO. Another example of why more people don't ask questions here.
  12. Interesting article...but why would you assume it's a case of alcoholism?
  13. Good question...has anyone ever tried this?
  14. Thanks jaja...I'm wondering if it would cost the same as a regular beer, or a soda? We're on a 14 day cruise and one of our friends drinks nothing but .5 O'Douls is one of his favorites too!!!
