  1. This is the first time we have had a successful Bid. We bought a Guarantee Balcony a few months ago and recently Bid to upgrade to YC. The original Balcony has already been paid for. The Upgrade ££ will be taken out of our Account soon or on Day of Sailing which is 10th November. Hope you find clarity. Good Luck. x
  2. We are Diamond with Royal Caribbean and we were matched to Diamond on MSC in 2019. xx
  3. Your Day in Bruges sounds wonderful. We have always loved it there. The Transfer sounds like a good idea. It takes the hassle out of walking to the Train Station etc. Enjoy. x
  4. Hello Eglesbrech, Just wondered if there are 2 Formal Evenings and when do they occur? Enjoyed reading your posts on here. We have just been upgraded to YC and are very much looking forward to this. Thanks. Enjoy the rest of your Cruise. xx
  5. Thanks Mark. Really intend to enjoy it all. xxx
  6. Well done Stocksy82. See you in YC. 🥂🤩
  7. Hi, I keep pinching myself, hope it's not just the Cabin without the YC Perks!! I am waiting to get the Final Tickets etc. from my TA. It looks like it is a Balcony as well. Beyond excited. These things never happen to us. Happy Sailing. (Must start packing!!). K.x
  8. Yeeaaahhhhh. We have just received an Email. We are in Yacht Club. Inside Suite. So Happy. It takes the Sting out of turning 60. Happy Sailing everyone. 😃🥂
  9. Hi Joeyancho, Can you say how much you Bid? We bid the asking price for the upgrade £365.00 PP.
  10. Congratulations!! Joeyancho, Have a wonderful time. K.x
  11. Thank you Eglesbrech, You never know in Life.🥂 Hope you are enjoying your Cruise. Is it full? K.
  12. Hi, Well I tried a Dummy Booking and couldn't see much on MSC Website. Switched to Travel Agent, and there were a few Balcony Suites available in YC. We only placed a Bid for Inside. All hope seems to be gone.😒 Hey ho, we still have a Balcony Cabin on a lovely new Ship, but have been excited at mere prospect of YC for weeks. Happy Sailing. K,
  13. Hi Tierun, I will give that a go. Thank you. xx
  14. Hello, We submitted our Upgrade Bid to Yacht Club a few weeks ago and have had no response yet. Just wondered if anyone on this Sailing has received confirmation for successful Upgrade? In Limbo at the moment and I keep checking App, Emails etc. etc. Just want to know one way or the other.😏 The Cruise is for my 60th, so I have Fingers Crossed for Upgrade. Thank you in advance. xxx
  15. Thank you UPNYGuy. Given this Ship offers World Cruises, I assumed it would wrap aound. Still may book though. x
  16. Hello, We are thinking of booking the Magnifica in November (for a big Birthday!). We sailed on this Ship a few year's ago but cannot remember if the Promenade is a wrap around one? This is always nice on a Transatlantic Cruise. I have been looking at Deck Plans but it's not quite clear. Can anyone confirm? Thank you. xxx🙂
  17. Hi, Yes it is 23rd!! We were originally going to book Iona which is 24th. Mustn't get dates wrong.🤣 Thank you for info. It's nice to see a Formal Night after Haugelsund because that's our Anniversary and the reason for this Cruise. I will pack for all weathers just in case. Thank you. Happy Cruising.
  18. Hi, We are sailing on Friday and I have been unable to find the Roll Call for the Cruise on 24th which is unusual? Just wondered if anyone knows how many Formal / Gala Nights the Britannia now has for 7 night Sailing. My Husband has "done his Back in" so really, really trying to minimise our packing.🤪 Reading some of the comments about Norway, we may have to pack some warmer things too. Also, just wondered is it vital to download the App to book everything that way? I managed to book 3 Shows in the Theatre on the P&O Website which seemed handy. Pre-Covid we never had to book the Theatre, but I know everything has changed. On our recent Sailings with other Cruise Lines we also used the App to watch the Video for our Muster Drill. Thanks for any replies / info. Days are getting close so getting excited now. Happy Sailing.
  19. Hiya, Great I will make a note to book the 710 Club. I hear you about the Originals 🤩 Klaus Mikaelson fantastic Character. However, it's Stefan all the way. Happy Cruising.
  20. Hello Vampiress88, Thank you for all your comments. It's good to hear that Iona has Freedom Dining and that you can still take onboard some Alcohol. We are not big drinkers, but it's always nice to have an Aperitif before starting the Evening. Yes, I agree with your point about the Virtuosa, it is a beautiful Ship and we were on the 2nd Sailing after the Pandemic restrictions allowed everyone to sail again. It was incredible. They also Status matched us to Diamond from Royal Caribbean, which was another plus. However, we just fancy a change this time, with a different Ship, so given your comments and what we have seen on various Cruise Vloggers Sites, we are going to book the Iona. The price is very good for the Inside Cabin and we like Norway too. Happy Cruising.🙂 p.s. Vampire Diaries is my Favourite Show.
  21. Hello, we are 2 Adults 59 and 61 and would like some feedback about Iona. We have sailed on 6 P& O Cruises in the past but usually choose Royal Caribbean, MSC and NCL. We are thinking of an Inside Cabin (to keep cost down) and we found the ones on the Britannia to be quite spacious, so do they compare on Iona? Are Formal Nights still a big thing with P&O? This was something we always enjoyed with the initial Cocktail Party on the Second Night of the Cruise.💯 The Ship looks lovely on the Vlogs we have watched, but it would nice to hear the experience of others. Can you still take on board your own Alcohol? That was always a big plus with P&O.😉 In terms of the Dining, is there still Freedom or Anytime Dining, or is it Set Dining and sitting with others? Would really appreciate any comments or advice from anyone who has recently sailed on her. Our last Cruise in October was on the Virtuosa and it was packed solid due to Half Term in Scotland!! The whole experience was awful from the Dining, to the Embarkation, Disembarkation and general Cruise itself so I am a bit tentative in booking another Cruise. We also both left the Ship with Covid and I really suffered with breathing issues for months. I guess I was just unlucky though. I know Iona is a big Ship so does everything have to be booked in advance, such as Theatre shows and Dining Room? Thank you for reading and I welcome any comments to help us to decide.
  22. Hello, On our Cruise out from Southampton last week, no one checked anyone's time? We are Diamond Members so usually have some kind of priority. I think if the queues are not long then you could probably check in. I didn't see anyone turned away.🥂
  23. I now have Covid.🤧 Feel awful. First time being infected. Yes we had to use one Shuttle Bus (Free) in La Rochelle, because the Port would not allow Passengers to walk from the Ship for safety. The other Shuttle was in Getxo for Bilbao. We were told that there was nothing in the Port and advised to purchase their Tickets into Bilbao. Once there, we still had to walk 45 Minutes into the Old Town! On the way back we saw many Passengers taking leisurely strolls around Getxo and it looked beautiful. We paid £13.00 each for the Tickets which was a needless expense. We are never usually duped like this. I must be getting old.xxx With Brugges, we have been many times on Cruises and it all depends where the Ship Docks. Once we walked along to the Train Station and another time, we were driven on Buses into Blankenberg?? to catch the Train into Brugges from there. One of my favourite Cities.xxx xx
  24. We were invited to upgrade to YC but it would have meant an Inside Cabin. I simply adore the Balcony and sit there at night. Maybe we could try YC another time. It did look great.xxx
