  1. So, I'm in the vaccine trials - we are not told whether or not we get the vaccine or the placebo.... I have my second injection here in a couple weeks so maybe I'll ask what happens if it winds up being required.
  2. Thanks for the reply! I certainly appreciate it as this will be the most $$ we have ever spent on a cabin before. It is for our 21 year anniversary....well, not really, but it falls within the same month. We have never had the chance to do a suite, let alone a corner. Your information has been really helpful and that a good size portion does directly face the aft.
  3. Yes, the price for a suite is pretty significant on this 11 day Alaskan. We may splurge depending on if the Concierge price when all is said and done. Some say that the balcony is like a wind tunnel - is that correct? We will be in Alaska and it does get chilly so not sure if that will be a factor or not. Haha - that is great, a suite as an upgrade - that ruined you I'll bet 🙂
  4. You guys have given me a lot to think about. The Sky Suite is definitely a chunk of change more....we have just never had a suite before and if we were going to do one, Alaska would be perfect....price is still a consideration though. Any thoughts on 2146 vs 2151 which are both corner suites? We have 2146 reserved right now along with a concierge on the aft. The regular sky suite aft is a little cheaper....
  5. Wow, those are great photos! Thank you. I understand that the 12th may have some noise and we are fine with that. I guess, regardless, one can't go wrong with any of the cabins....and maybe it just comes down to a certain price point.
  6. DH and I are looking at a 12th deck aft cabin on the Eclipse. We have never been on the aft before and want to give it a try for Alaska. We are normally in a bump out on the hump of the 12th deck and are used to a larger balcony which I don't think we will get on the aft (unless it is the corner) but that really isn't a big deal and we are aware of it. Does anyone have any photos, pics, etc? We have never stayed in a suite and would love to give it a try depending on price but may wind up with a concierge aft....just don't know. There are not a lot of photos of 12th deck aft cabins that I
  7. When is Celebrity supposed to be making an announcement? I have been waiting to cancel my travel insurance, change airfare, call excursion vendors, etc and have been waiting until it is official. Hoping it is done today.
  8. Received taxes and fees for cruise canceled on March 25th yesterday, May 25. Better late than never. We had requested and FCC - so that was all they owed us.
  9. The TA is supposed to be talking to the TA, that is why they get paid commission from Celebrity. It isn't an attitude - your TA should have handled all of this. They cannot touch a sailing that is being handled by a TA unless the TA contacts them.
  10. I have this cabin booked for 2022. We generally stay on the 12th deck and although there is some noise on occasion - it's the location we prefer.
  11. I would pick the first one so you can see Skagway if this is your first Alaskan Cruise. However, you cannot go wrong with a Vancouver to Vancouver - love that city! Seward is an experience as well!
  12. We were denied moving from an 8 day Alaskan sailing to a 9 day. We said, the only other option is going down a day and we'd rather go up a day, we told them we would pay for the extra night. The rep was happy with that....and however much time later, came back on the line with the new amount for the extra night. We were very pleased. Tell them you will pay for that extra night - we were more than happy to do that.
  13. Your TA should be tracking this, that is why they get commission from Celebrity and why Celebrity says they can't talk to you.
  14. Lol. That's ok. Totally to be expected. No worries at all.
  15. Well, if they finished with March refunds, I guess they forgot ours.
  16. Still waiting on our refund from March 23. Now, Celebrity has messed up our potential Alaska cruise sailing for August. We applied part of our FCC and we were supposed to get a refund of just over $100 on it because we had too much in cash down after the FCC was used. Well, now Celebrity shows that we owe another $50.00. Oh boy....
  17. I'm so sorry. Don't give up. In fact, can you call Celebrity and ask if you can move the reservation and have the new one pulled from the current agent? There is no reason you need to deal with an agent who isn't actually working with you.
  18. Thanks guys! Did it! Yes - it makes a difference. Thanks again.
  19. I did not receive the email either. How did you do a dummy booking with the discount? Is it something you had to type in? Thanks.
  20. Super happy as well. It took a little doing, but Celebrity changed our FANTASTICALLY priced 8 day Alaskan cruise this May which had already been canceled, to a 9 day next May. We paid for the extra night and are SUPER HAPPY with the deal we got.
  21. We pay for location but still depends on price as far as if we go concierge or regular veranda. We just have a handful of spots we like and then compare the price. I'll pay more for concierge - but I don't care about the concierge so much as the spot.
  22. Still waiting for our taxes and port charges to be refunded from a cruise canceled around March 23...I forget the exact date anymore.
  23. A total of just over 4.5 hours on the phone with Celebrity. Over 3 of that was on hold.
