  1. I have not received an updated version, but if I do I will post it.
  2. My understanding, per all the communications received from Silversea, is the Essentials will continue to be all-inclusive onboard, minus the excursions. It appears that someone in marketing mismarked page 3 of the flyer and it was sent to agents without a proper proof.
  3. Starting tomorrow 3/18/24, for all new bookings, The big change is that Door to Door and Port to Port fares will have the same deposit and cancellation terms. Both will now require 25% deposit, have final payment at 120 days, $250 penalty from time of booking to 150 days, then % based penalties starting at 15% and increasing thereafter. Other than including/excluding flights, transfers and (sometimes) pre/post hotels included the two fares will essentially be the same on the back end. Simplifies the booking process for consumers, and most likely easier for Silversea to manage on the back end as well. I have attached a flyer that shows all the fare options, inclusions and payment/cancellation terms. FLYER_THE_LUXURY_OF_CHOICE_GBL_SA2401197592 (2).pdf
  4. With the beautiful sea view terrace/pool at the front on decks 16/17 combined with the Dome and the equally gorgeous wake view terrace at the back on deck 8 it really negates a lot of the need for the Sanctuary in my opinion. I’m sure many will disagree with me.
  5. Body Wash actually will work in a pinch, but it leaves the skin feeling differently than a true bubble bath soap/foam and the suds do not last as long. That said if they have decent quality bath crystals all the better!
  6. I'm sailing on the Silver Shadow in December. Do they provide bubble bath as part of their bath amenities? I just sailed Regent in January and loved that they supplied bath foam for taking a bubble bath- was a lovely touch!
  7. They don’t have the “super-duper-fancee” headrests so they aren’t sanctuary loungers.
  8. It was listed in the Patters that way on Enchanted last November, but as I didn't go to the Casino can't say if it was enforced or not.
  9. All Princess ship have smoking areas in their Casinos. However on Formal nights they often designate the Casino as non-smoking. That said the residual odor still lingers.
  10. My guess is the numbers in the diamonds represent the ounces of the cut per serving.
  11. I wonder where the elevator takes you if you mash the gangway button on a sea day????? LOL Somehow I have visons of "this" happening!
  12. The balcony depth on the rooms in the "skinny part" look deeper (on the deck plan) than those out at the wide parts. I'm pretty sure this was one of the rooms on the "skinny" part of the ship, hence the deeper balcony.
  13. I think these are both in play. On more than one occasion I saw one of the bar managers doing an inventory check with a bartender calling out pars for each bottle behind the bar. I also noticed very few to no "free pours", everything went in a jigger before a glass. carnival corp is being VERY strict with cost controls across all brands as they strive to pay down debt and remain profitable. I can't say I fault them for that. The upside for the consumer of signing the slips, it is easier to dispute an erroneous charge. I know what my signature look like and if presented with a slip that did not match easy to prove with comparison to other slips. Realistically it took all of 3-5 seconds from my cruise to sign each slip, not a big deal in the grand scheme of things
  14. They all appear to be the same chair style, but a mix of arm and side chairs. The arm chairs have a blue inner shell and cream outer shell and the side chairs have a blue inner and outer shell. All have a blue seat.
  15. I noticed the below and it makes me wonder if they are going to offer a Koren BBQ menu as an option?
  16. Somehow I was remembering our itinerary wrong. There is only 1 sea day at the end of the trip. Day 8 is St Thomas from 8am - 4pm and day 9 is Grand Turk from 1:30pm - 8pm. Based on this in going to assume second formal night will be day 8.
  17. So in that case I should be “safe-ish” to assume days 2 and 9. I like to book specialty dining those nights and plan further in advance than journey view will start to show things.
  18. I’d love to see a tired number of casual (plus) and specialty (premier) dining included as follows: 1 - 5 nights 1 6 - 9 nights. 2 10 - 14 nights 3 15 - 27 nights 4 28 + nights 5 This would help incentivize purchasing plus/premier on longer voyages (especially premier) as the current allotment diminishes the package value add the longer the cruise gets.
  19. One the 10 day Caribbean sailings with 2 days at sea at each end of the cruise, what nights have the formal nights been on recently? 2 or 3 / 8 or 9?
  20. Looks like the new national promo will be a "35 % off sale with free 3rd/4th guests" - nothing terribly exciting. Runs March 1st to May 31st. There may or may not be some additional limited time offers overlaid during the course of the sale (reduced deposits or onboard credits potentially) Q2TAeFlyer_Final_NE.pdfQ2TAeFlyer_Final_NE.pdf
  21. I've had consistent issues with payments on both the Princess and HAL sites for over a year when trying to process payment and using the Chrome browser on my PC. Switching to Safari on my iPad works every time. If your smart phone is an android and pc is using chrome try a different browser on your pc maybe
  22. Just looked in the travel agents system and inventory has been zeroed out on all sailings up to and including March 29th. The first sailing showing availability is now the April 8th 9nt departure. I am unsure if any of these sailings previously had any open inventory as I have not been tracking it.
  23. well they’d have to call the offshored call centre to get that assessment, which means a lengthy hold time, and then getting a canned response from an ‘agent’ reading from a knowledge base article written by an outsourced team …… I think that alone sums up what’s going on with Princess.
  24. This is very disappointing and shows a lack of contingency planning by the shipyard, Princess and Carnival Corp. My deepest empathy for all those affected, especially guests who are already enroute to or in Rome. Much harder to shift gears and make alternate arrangements once you have left home.
  25. On my January 26th sailing the water was in 12oz “pop” style cans. I bring a refillable water bottle for poolside or going ashore so never ordered any canned water, just refilled my bottle in lido
