  1. How does one book airfare through Azamara? They list it as an option but have no links or guidance of how to actually book it.

Second question is, if you do so, does it provide any protections, like helping you get to the ship the next day at a different port due to flight issues?

We're doing an Italy intensive cruise this summer, and most flight options that work geographically and time for us have us arriving early morning the day the cruise leaves. If we can book flight through Azamara and they provide protection and allow us to board the next day if the flight is delayed it would really ease our anxieties (since the ship will docking in Italy at 8am the next day).

I'm well aware the typical cruise guidance is making sure you arrive at least a day before the cruise, but with my work and flight options it really isn't an option this time.

    thank you!

  2. Question about hours for Portside bbq on oasis recently. The royal app for my august sailing only shows it open for dinner (5-9) daily. Is this accurate or is it open for lunch on certain days? Was even thinking about maybe going there for lunch embarkation day to escape the windjammer crowds….

  3. What’s everyone’s thoughts/experiences with the Galaxy Pavilion?

Also I see online that everything is $8/each except the F1 racer which is $20, but do they have any packages or passes?

Going on the Joy, but if this exists on other ships too I’d be interested in the feedback.

you can book shows at the box office or via touch screen  when you get onboard. if you find that your preferred showtimes conflict with your pre-booked specialty dining reservations, try to rebook on Day 1. there is usually one restaurant desk set up for that, but most restaurants can handle it for you. want vibe passes? they sell out quickly. so try to buy those ASAP. do you have OBC and have been waiting to buy additional specialty dining packages or excursions? do that and charge it to the room so it consumes OBC (if you had done it before day 1, your credit card would have been charged).

Where do they sell Vibe Passes typically? Guest services or another venue?

  5. First NCL cruise, leaving on Joy Sunday out of Manhattan.

What should I rush to take care of when I get on the ship?

I have my specialty dining pre-booked but that’s it. It won’t allow me to pre book shows. Is that something I can do on the app once on board or will I have to go somewhere?

what other things do you do first thing and where do you go to do them?

  6. First time trying to book an MSC cruise. After I selected the cruise and date I wanted, it takes me to a page with offers, but it's not very clear what each includes.

There are 4 choices with increasing prices

    - cheapest = "lowest cruise rate, kids sail free"

    - then there's two separate options, different prices, that says "free drinks and wifi"

    - finally, the most expensive option "free balcony upgrade, kids sail free"

Does the most expensive option not have free drinks or wifi?

Why is there two prices for identical "free drinks and wifi"?

  7. Looking for some recommendations for a beach in Bermuda. We usually like all inclusive beach type days but I have found out Bermuda doesn't really do that. The things that are most important to us in order are

    1) clean bathrooms

    2) has beach chairs (for rent or free, doesn't matter)

    3) rents out boogie boards / snorkeling equipment

    4) easy access to food

    5) availability of drinks to purchase

    Things we don't care about

    1) if it's secluded

    2) proximity to Royal Navy Dockyard (where the cruise ship will be docked)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  8. Do extra cash gratuities go to a pool or to that crew member?

I’ve always been under the impression that the pre-paid gratuities go to a pool that’s given to everyone, and that if you directly give an extra cash tip to a crew member for going above and beyond it goes to only them. Is this true or do the extra cash tips also go into a pool?

Same question applies to tips to dealers at the casino.

  9. Does anyone know what happens if you test positive while you’re on adventure during the nassau cruises? I know they fly you “home” as soon as possible. But what does that mean exactly? Are you being quarantined in a hotel by the airport that you fly back to in the US? Can you go back to your actual home?

I’m sailing within the next two weeks, and with the delta strain I’m wondering what the worst case scenario might if I end up catching it on the cruise.

    thank you!

  10. Could anyone explain how Deal or No Deal works on the cruise? From what I understand it replaces Bingo. I can't imagine everyone who buys a "card" gets to play the actual Deal or No Deal game like the gameshow? So what's the scoop with this?

The promotional chips must be wagered.  If you win, you will get back regular chips which can then be cashed.  The promotional chips cannot be cashed.

So if I get the $50 table play package (which gets me $55), are all $55 promotional chips or is only the bonus $5?

If they're all promotional chips, if I bet $10, and win, I'll be given $10 non promotional chips for my win, but do they replace my bet with regular chips as well?
