  1. Thank you. Appreciate that you shared your experience.
  2. It states: A multiple entry visa will be required if a non-Schengen country is visited between visits to Schengen countries (Example:depart from Italy, visit Turkey, arrive in Greece). Montenegro is a non-Schengen country.
  3. I am Canadian with a Canadian passport. First our cruise starts in Rome, the countries are Italy, Montenegro and Greece. I understand I do not require a tourist visa for Schengen countries (Italy and Greece). The Montenegro consulate also does not require a visa. However I recieved this notice from Princess... As a reminder, you will be visiting countries which are member of the Schengen Agreement. Schengen Agreement countries require passport holders from various countries to obtain a visa in advance. This requirement does not apply to Australian, Canadian, New Zealand, UK, or U.S. passport holders. A multiple entry visa will be required if a non-Schengen country is visited between visits to Schengen countries (Example: depart from Italy, visit Turkey, arrive in Greece). Schengen Agreement countries include: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxemburg, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland Surely, I am not the only one dealing with this. We sail April 18. Thanks for any experience on this.
  4. Checkout the agent site for princess. No login required for some info. See right navigation column. https://book.princess.com/BookingSystem/login.page
  5. First time attaching a file. Hope this works.
  6. Deposit requirements will change effective December 9, 2019 for Princess cruises. The deposit structure will be tiered based on cruise duration and cabin type. Book now to avoid potentially higher deposits.
  7. Should have mentioned the Alaskan Wildlife Center between Whittier and Anchorage. It was so educational and a great walk through to see native wildlife . It is not a zoo but a wildlife refuge for injured or orphaned animals. If you book with a transfer bus, most just drive through. We took our time, many photo ops and enjoyed viewing dozens of species.
  8. We did the NB out of Vancouver July 2020. Our first port was ICY STRAIT POINT, where we booked Hoonah Whale tours. Amazing, small boat tour. They only book upto 6 persons per tour. Find them by googling or through trip Advisor. We saw 3 pods of Orcas, dozens of humpback whales, sea otters and eagles, not to mention great views. At Skagway we rented a car and drove up the klondike hwy to Whitehorse Yukon, Yukon, Canada. Mant beautiful stops along the highway including g Whitepass, Carcross desert, Yukon suspension bridge, emerald lake, Tutushi lake, Spirit lodge for lunch etc. We took our time and still had 3hrs to spend in Skagway upon our return. Book early. Only options are Avis or a jeep company. Route is easy. Juneau our tour was canceled due to fog. Ended up going up Mount Robert's Tram and hired a pedal rickshaw. The tour on the pedal rickshaw was very informative, stops at many historical buildings and points of interest. Didn't do Mendenhall glacier as we had 2 scenic cruising days to see glaciers. Once at Whittier we rented a car to drive to Anchorage. This was awesome. Our stops included: Portage lake and Portage Glacier, Mount Alyeska and Tram, Beluga Point, Bryson trail, Potters Marsh, Bird Point, etc. We had a good lunch at Mount Alyeska and wonderful, tasty, cheap dinner at Moose Tooth Pub and Pizzeria in Anchorage. The ULU factory in Anchorage was a must do for us. We bought many great souvenirs for ourselves and others. Love our ULU knife. Ask away and enjoy your trip.
  9. Thanks for your reply. Makes sense to me. I too only drink decaf in PM.
  10. Good day, Loved my first cruise with Princess to Alaska so much, I booked a 2nd cruise with Princess - Mediterranean and Aegean cruise. When leaving the ship in Alaska, we could not take our coffees or other foods unless it was water or prepackaged foods, off the ship. As our Mediterranean cruise is in the EU, are the rules the same? If so and as this is port intensive, I may cancel my coffee package. TIA.
  11. Thank you for the info. Its these kind of posts I love. On the recent 3FF sale with a 72hr Air Sale on cruises in Europe, we got $910Cdn off on airfares pp plus 3FF perks on a Mediterranean cruise. Couldn't turn it down. Gotta love it.
  12. Refared to 3FF last year for our Alaska cruise with great savings. This year booked a Mediterranean and Aegean Sea cruise, not only got 3FF but $910C credit on airfare for each passenger. Got to love these finds. Thanks for the heads up op.
  13. I planned to purchase FCDs on our Alaskan cruise last week. I got so caught up in the cruise (and sick), that I left without purchasing them. Is it too late? I thought you had a grace period after the cruise? I contacted my TA she says because I have a cruise booked for Geb, that I can't purchase the FCDs for any future booking. Your thought and experience appreciated. TIA
  14. We have booked our 1st Caribbean cruise. Our flight is 2 nights before departure from Ft. Lauderdale. I'm looking at the Princess precruise option of B Ocean Resort (formerly Sheraton Ft. Lauderdale Beach Hotel). I'm wondering if any one had any experience. Is the transfer process effective and timely? How's the beach, rooms and facilities? TIA
  15. Just got off an Alaskan cruise last week. Contacted my TA to purchase FCD. She advised that because we have a cruise booked for next winter, policy doesn't allow us to purchase FCD. Is this correct? Seeking advice. Thx.
  16. Told DH and friends about the volcano on our cruise last week. They loved it. Thank you Also DH got it a second night but replaced the strawberry sauce with caramel. Yummy.
  17. This is our first cruise for DH and I. We are travelling with another couple who cruise often but this is their first cruise with Princess. We boarded Westjet at Toronto and flew to Vancouver on the morning of July 16. Processing and baggage at both ends was quick and simple. There was no lineup for taxis. We landed at 9;15 and were checked on at the hotel and in our rooms by 10:45am. Hotel I changed our reservation 2 weeks before travelling. Originally booked at the Residence Inn for a good price I switched to the Fairmont Pacific Rim to be closer to the port and reduce taxi costs. It was a great decision. Upon arrival, the front desk staff offered us all water while we waited for her to confirm our reservation. We recieved a great overview of the hotel and amenities. Advised they had guest services cars available if we need to go anywhere at no cost. Our room was city view and stunning. A piano player in the lobby was classic. Every detail was tended to. We bought tickets to Grouse Mountain from concierge services, got directions to the free shuttle at Canada Place. Will add more about Grouse Mountain and embarkation soon.
  18. S&S no bargain. Currently have a 10 day cruise for two for $3954 including $550 OBC. To refare to S&S would be $6314 and only 250 OBC (200 military and 50 TA). No thanks.
  19. Does anyone know if this book is available onboard for purchase or only pre-cruise? Also, ate such gifts delivered to the room or only a gift certificate? TIA.
  20. Thank you all for your insights. Booked the Balcony breakfast for Glacier Bay. We are travelling with friends who will be in adjoining cabin so will share.
  21. Good day Our first cruise ever, will be on Princess Northbound Glacier to Alaska in July. We are interested in booking a balcony breakfast. We ate considering two options: 1- first sea day out of Vacouver. It may be warm and calm seas and hence a good time. 2- day in Glacier Bay, this would be after 3 long port days. Might bel a good way to relax and enjoy the start of what we hope will be a spectacular day. Our cabin will be mid-aft starboard, if that makes a difference. Your thoughts are welcome. What would you do?
  22. Only the single device package is available in our cruise Personalizer.
