  1. Waiting at the gate to board. LIT>ATL>NAS READY to go. We are smiling!
  2. Captain Michael Lindberg is the Master onboard Independence. He told me his vacation starts September 12. We board that day and we will have Captain Gus.
  3. I don’t remember it, but I think it’s been over two years since we flew internationally.
  4. Ok, we have our negative PCR tests and we fly tomorrow. We haven’t flown since the President’s cruise in November 2019 (20 months) and haven’t cruised since February 2020 (18 months). We are flying Delta. LIT>ATL>NAS tomorrow. I cannot complete check in but asked a friend, who has done Adventure twice from Nassau and always flies Delta, and he says you have to checkin at the airport. It’s likely because they want to see the Bahamas Visa or maybe even our vaccine card or PCR test, I guess. At least I had someone who had been tell me we can’t check in online like usual. Doing final things today to be ready tomorrow. We fly before 8 and should be in Nassau at 1:40 pm if all goes well.
  5. I’m so sorry to hear that. We’ve lost all of ours. It’s hard.
  6. We are Karen and Bill from Conway AR. We fly to Nassau Friday morning, 8/13 for the 8/14 and 8/21 sailing. We are D+ with RC and get our 490 milestone block in this cruise. This is our first cruise (s) since February 2020, eighteen months ago. We were able to finish the Bahamian visa before the August 6 deadline and didn’t have to upload a covid test to get one. We have no local antigen nor PCR tests that return in time for the three day before window. We went this morning to a PCR testing Lab in Little Rock to be tested (28 mi each way). They guarantee processing and results in under 24 hours. The cost was $100 each. We are also going within the hour to get a rapid test but it’s not a rapid antigen test (but it is a NAAT Test) so if the PCR doesn’t happen to provide results we will have it. That free test is named ID NOW and and might have sufficed, but who knows. I’m just ready to get this part behind us, and get in a ship!!
  7. Please ask the mods to add the 14th to the title. I will be sharing things too, on the August 14 cruise. Thanks.
  8. Following along. We board this Saturday, August 14. Do you want me to share things from this coming week that might be of benefit to those sailing Aug 21 and 28?
  9. Which company under insuremytrip.com? They are just a website. You still had an individual company that underwrote your trips.
  10. Coconut Crew and others, thanks for sharing in part two. I can’t find part 1, so I guess locked means gone. What a shame. I have one question that may have been answered in part 2. Were all six positives in one party? Acquaintances? all of you, get well soon! I'm proud of how RC has he fled things!
  11. Have a wonderful time. So glad to follow you along before ours in 4 weeks! MorganClark, thanks for sharing your PCR test experience. I posted it on other groups, but I don’t think people believe me. Of course, that’s because the info is WRONG in RC materials. Pleasant sailing ahead! Have a blast!
  12. I got out my luggage tag holders today. I’m way too excited.
  13. She just moved from a balcony to a spacious balcony. That’s what we got for our August sailings. The only reg balconies were guarantee rates when we booked Monday.
  14. Shawn McDuff is the current Allure captain. This comes from Marc Walker, CD on Allure now. Take Care! So glad to see this page filling up again!
  15. Michael Lindberg is on Independence now. He’s still listed as being the Captain onboard Vision (his last ship). Hasn’t been on Vision for a year.
  16. Thank you for all the photos and info. I’m happy for all that are onboard, but I sure wish we were there!
  17. Allure's TA on October 30 and her Galveston cruises are now available for purchase!
  18. Interested in this TA and the 7 night before. Wondering when the TAs will show up? Hope it’s Galveston bound.
  19. Call back and just ask to apply it. If they say no, ask for an exception. If that doesn’t work, ask for resolutions. Worked for family members.
  20. There is a current Celebrity offer on my everyday blue card. Celebrity is part of RC Group.
  21. I didn’t know there were any RC cancellations where you couldn’t get a refund. We had one cancelled in the very first round, 13 days before we were to sail in March. I know FCC or moving a cruise were the only options for those who needed to cancel ahead of RCs cancellation of a cruise.
  22. We only took one FCC for a canceled cruise. The rest we had refunded. The only reason I took a FCC on that one was that it was tied to an initial spend limit on a new CC that got me 100K airline miles. Had I taken a refund, I would have lost my miles. The amount of my one FCC is more than any current Cruise I have booked. So, this is very good news.
