  1. Actually I did that when I rang them. Virgin said that the notification went to princess. The bottom line is that my son booked directly with Virgin and was notified. We booked through Eziair with princess and weren't notified. I guess its up to you whether you take the chance that they will notify you or not. We wont be risking it again.
  2. Yes virgin had all my contact details. I also had the reservation number and had done seat selection. Not sure what else I could have done.
  3. No I didnt call them, thought it wasnt worth the effort. I booked direct with Princess not through a TA. (I presume you mean travel agent)
  4. We have just finished a 6 night cruise on Majestic Princess - had a great time, but wanted to let people know to be careful when booking Ezi air through princess. We booked a one way flight from Adelaide to Sydney to have three days before our cruise departed. Booking was easy and prices were good, however, on the Saturday night before we were due to leave on the Sunday (flight was 11am) our son got a notification that the flight was cancelled. He had booked independently through Virgin Australia. We didn't get any notification at all, and actually are stil
  5. thanks for the replies, was more expensive than I thought! especially as they dont offer day passes.
  6. Does anyone know how much it costs to visit the thermal suite on board the Majestic Princess. We are going on an Australian coastal cruise in Feb for 6 days. We have a couple of spa bookings and they encourage you to go 30 mins before to enjoy the thermal suite, but they do say a fee applies, but they dont tell you how much it is.

  8. We are on the cruise leaving Sydney on 12/02/20, stopping at Hobart and Melbourne before we get off in Adelaide. Thanks to everyone for their replies. We will just have to see whats open and what is available for purchase. cheers Kylie
  9. On our cruise documents it mentions that the duty free shops will not be able to sell duty free because we are doing an Australian Coastal Cruise, however toiletries and alcohol for consumption on board can be purchased. Does anyone know if you want to buy gifts or jewellery for yourself can you do that?
  10. Thanks again to everyone who replied, very helpful.
  11. We are going on the Majestic princess in Feb this year. While we are doing a shore excursion in Hobart, we are just planning to get off the ship when it docks in Melbourne to meet our daughter. Does anyone know what the process is for just getting off, if you are not doing a shore excursion, and what time that would be? The ship docks at 8am I expect they will give priority to those going on organised shore excursions, so I would imagine that we might not be able to get off until around 10am. Does that sound reasonable?
  12. We are going on the Majestic Princess in February and I know I can pre-purchase the coffee card before we cruise, but I wanted to know can I buy it on board, and is it the same price?
  13. We are booked on an Australian cruise in Feb 2020 on Majestic Princess. Does anyone know if you can pay for a bottled water package. The only packages I can find are the alcoholic ones. We are going to buy a new grounds coffee package. If you cant buy a package does anyone know how much bottled water is to buy? thanks.
