  1. Is it better to purchase directly from the museum B-ticket? Or am I better going with Expedia, Viator, etc
  2. We are planning on using the train from FCO to Venice and then back to Termini. Post cruise we are taking train back to the airport. My first question is it better to use the trenitalia website or a website like italirail? My second question is in reference to the ticket validation how does that work? Do ticket sales ever come pre validated? If not where do we do this? Last question, when leaving Venice for Rome, do we need to purchase that in advance or can we do it day of?
  3. Thank you very much
  4. I’m afraid of cutting it close. How is the best way to get from the station back to the port at that time?
  5. I think we will do the same, save a few bucks on the excursion and spend some time in town
  6. Anyone done this out of Civitavecchia? What’s the process like?
  7. We’ve discussed taking the train back to give us an extra hour or so. Our ship leaves at 8, so I figured taking a train back at around 5 something would give us enough time

    Thank you all so much.
  9. Thank you, I think i was confused about the reserved part. I do want to see the original. I hate having such little time in Florence, but it’s better than none at all. My wife wanted to do Ufitizi, so we are doing a tour tour of that, I guess my main concern is time. how isn’t Florence in late November early December for crowds? As of now we are doing Tuscany bus which gives us from 1115ish to like 445pm, just not enough time. Am I better off just doing the one gallery and the replica? I greatly appreciate all of your help
  10. Will be in Florence fence for 1 day while on cruise. I really only want to see David. Am I better off buying a skip the line ticket or doing a reserved ticket like Rick Steeves suggested? I am not looking to pay for a tour, we will do an audio. Thanks

We will be spending 5 1/2 days in Italy (Rome and Venice) and 1 post. My question is in reference to currency. We will be taking a train to Venice. Should we come with some Euros prior to arriving in Italy? If so how much do you recommend? Secondly, I know for sure on the cruise we are having two private tours that combined will cost us about 450 euros combined, is that something we should take out while in Italy prior to us leaving on the cruise? I’ve never traveled to Europe before, and now that we are 90 days out, it seems important. Thank you

    Hotel to FCO

I apologize, I thought I had put its inside Rome. It’s inside the old city walls
  13. We are 90 days out from our cruise on the sprit, and there is still no excursions listed for our stop in Monte Carlo, is that normal?
