We are going to be cruising on the Star end of August.  Before that we will be traveling through Italy, and I'm sure, acquiring bottles of wine to eventually take back to the States.  We have the beverage package and therefore have no need for those wines to be opened while we are on the boat.  Is it possible to 'declare' those wines upon embarkation and have them hold them until departure to ensure we don't open them and thereby avoiding the corkage fees.?

We actually are doing just that.  We arrive and have one more day/evening in Venice and leave at 11am the next morning.  I just didn't want the stress at the end of our wonderful vacation worrying about getting to the airport on time.  I wanted to just keep things low key to the very end.

In August the cable car runs until 11:00 pm every 20  minutes with the last cable car from top is 10:40pm.  You shouldnt have any problems.

We are going on the Star Greek Isle cruise in August 2019.  We are staying 2 nights prior to the cruise in Venice.  Upon our return, instead of stressing about getting off the boat and rushing for the airport, we are staying one extra day in Venice and leaving on Monday.  Any suggestions for a hotel that we can stay at, see some sights close to the hotel and have an easy transfer to the airport in the morning for an 11am flight?  Or would it be better to leave our luggage at the port and wander around and get a hotel near the airport Sunday night?

Yankee123, are you on the August 18 or 25th sailing?  We are on the 18th sailing and those questions are great to know for us as well!  Hope you have a great trip!
