Thanks for the links. After spending several days looking for the best policy I’ve just organised ours with cover for you. Getting a policy with clear coverage for a uk coastal cruise that also covers us if we have to isolate and can’t travel is great peace of mind. We looked at cover with Holiday Extras first as it seemed best to go with P&O’s partner but they don’t cover for isolation.

I’ve organised our travel insurance for our Iona Uk Cruise in September today after speaking to an advisor at Holiday Extras. I was told to book the cruise insurance for Europe not including Spain.

Who has decided to take a summer staycation cruise?

If you booked direct they should have sent you a booking confirmation email. With that email should be attachement which is your booking confirmation. On that it says the grade of cabin you’ve booked. -

We’ve booked this morning and got straight through on the phone to P&O. We’ve gone for a GA balcony cabin on Iona 4th Sept. Cruise personaliser was up and running in just a few minutes. -
I’ve just received an email from Viking inviting me to register interest in 3 uk sailings. 22 & 29th May and 5th June 7 night UK cruises from Portsmouth with included shore excursions! I was hoping the P&O offerings would have port stops as they referred to releasing itineraries and this email makes me more hopeful. No prices for the Viking cruises yet but they are all 7 nights on the new Viking Venus.

We were in Tallinn in July 2019 with P&O and we used their provided shuttle service, it was only a fairly short journey.

P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?
Tilly20 replied to Host Sharon's topic in P&O Cruises ( UK )
I’m in Doncaster so not far away either. I’ve been out for the first shop since last Tuesday and Lidl was lovely and organised. I arrived at 9 and no queue. Got everything I needed today and even got some liquid antibacterial soap for my friend who is being ‘shielded’ after a transplant. I felt like I’d won the lottery! -

It was only indirectly the weather that stopped the Zeebrugge call. All the pilots were stuck out on ships or had worked their allowed hours and couldn’t work again until after their statutory break. It has been interesting! We’ve not long since had an alarm call broadcast during the evening show, for the emergency team to the engine room. Took 5 minutes to get the all clear after they found some smouldering lagging. and....did we mention the false alarm just after midnight a few days ago that was sounded throughout the ship. The deputy captain came over the system to exp

Enjoy your cruise. The crew doesn’t change all in one lot. You might see a few new crew members joining the ship in Southampton starting their new contracts and for different positions onboard their contracts will be for different lengths.

Thank you Eddie! That’s really helpful 😀

We are docking in Ijmuiden overnight in February, do you know if P&O usually offer a trip from Ijmuiden to Rotterdam? We’ve had several fantastic visits to Amsterdam and would love to visit Rotterdam for the first time. I’ve researched doing the trip ourselves and it looks like a ship excursion might be easier if they do one?
