  1. We went to St Petersburg in July with P & O and loved it. We chose to do a small group trip with P & O, we are happy to do our own thing in lots of places but here we wanted the security of being on a ship excursion. When we researched we felt the prices comparable and we were in the same mini buses that the private companies use. We enjoyed the whole 2 days, Catherine’s palace, Peterhof and the hydrofoil ride, St Peter & Paul Fortress and the Church on The Spilled blood all amazing. Ive attached the snippet of info, there was a slightly more expensive trip that also went into St Isaacs Cathedral. We didn’t but walked past it on the way for the river cruise. We also went on the subway to a market. You’ll have a fantastic time!
  2. I have read the thread, thought it might help to give the actual facts! 😀 View from our balcony this morning as we enjoyed the beautiful sail in to Stockholm.
  3. Currently on this cruise, just leaving Stockholm. We were informed that departure from Southampton would be late and advised to arrive 6 hours later than originally instructed to. At that point we were told that we would be given £20 each OBC. At the muster drill we were told that the original fault had been fixed, that added to 2 medical emergencies leaving the last port of call on previous cruise had caused the delay. A new and different fault had been identified and meant that we would miss Skagen whilst engineers tried to fix it and we would all receive a further £50 OBC. The following sea day we were given the great news that fault was fixed and with his foot to the floor Captain Wesley would have us in Skagen by noon on Monday for the full 8 hours. We were then told that we would be keeping the £50 OBC. Great cruise and fantastic ports of call, having a wonderful time and would be delighted to book again. Hope that helps with any confusion!
  4. Due to sail tomorrow and received this email late morning. Apparently some technical difficulties and the ship had to return to Bergen yesterday to deal with2 medical emergencies which has added to the delay. (Hope they are recovering!). We hope you are looking forward to joining us on board Britannia tomorrow for your cruise with us. We're very sorry, Britannia’s arrival into Southampton tomorrow is delayed due to a technical issue and a medical disembarkation on the return from Norway. As a result of this delayed arrival into Southampton embarkation will now be later. For your comfort, please can you arrive 6 hours after your scheduled arrival time printed on your E-ticket. If you have transfer arrangements through us your coach will depart at the normal time as planned therefore please be ready for your transfer as normal. If you have independent arrangements in place, we would recommend you delay your journey. Otherwise you can travel into Southampton and enjoy the local area before you check in. We apologise that we have had to start your holiday with a change to your embarkation, in recognition of this we will be adding £20 per person to your on board account. Thank you for your understanding, we look forward to welcoming you on board and wish you a very happy holiday. Yours sincerely,
  5. We are in St Petersburg in July and have booked a small group tour with P&O, 2 full days with lunch -simply St Petersburg, £237 per adult and £155 per child. We decided that we preferred the security of a ship organised tour and this one does every we wanted With the advantage of being a group size, max 16.
  6. Hi, we are on this cruise and also really excited! I emailed P &O about Copenhagen and have had a reply today saying that the shuttle bus will be using King’s Square as the drop off point.
  7. Our cruise sails to the Baltic’s in July and the excursions became available to book last weekend - 18 weeks beforehand.
