  1. It is wishful thinking that we will have a vaccine before the new year. No matter what anyone says a phased trial takes a certain amount of time, which can not be rushed. Personally, I would rather wait a little longer than rush either a dangerous or less than effective vaccine. Also, the logistics of distribution, it is going to take a massive amount of manpower to give millions of shots. I am a nurse, and have done dozens of flu clinics, we had a team of 4 nurses, and could usually do 200-300 in a 6-8 hr time frame.
  2. Yes, Trattoria da Primo..it was a great meal and the waiter arranged for our private water taxi back to Venice
  3. It was in my carry on along with my portable oxygen....and my 2 dozen pills...and freezer pack with injections....🤭
  4. It depends on how much luggage you have, as you may have a long wait for elevators, on a 5 day cruise I can go with one easy to manage rolling carry on, so we walk right off. On longer cruises or in Europe we wait , eat breakfast and then get off. If you have an early flight, that’s the way to go, but have transportation waiting.
  5. I use Bi-Pap also, I notified the special needs desk, they supplied me with distilled water, I brought my own extension cord, which also has USB ports for cell phones, I-Pads
  6. We used Choice Air, for our trip to the Baltic, got an excellent price, but be aware, they can make changes to your itinerary. We originally booked from Amsterdam to DC to Orlando, they changed our flight Amsterdam to Houston to Orlando... We also had an issue with our outgoing flight, We were leaving from FLL to Newark to Paris, the layover in Newark was only 2.5 hours. Our flight was delayed and then canceled due to,weather, we missed our Newark to Paris flight. Choice Air did provide transportation, and a hotel in Newark. our traveling companions had their insurance through the cruise line, we had ours with a private company, Our hotel night and airport transfer was covered in full. Theirs was denied. Otherwise our trip, was fantastic
  7. We stayed in Venice and our hotel had a complimentary water taxi to Murano, we watched glass blowing and did some shopping, no one was pushing us to buy anything. The glass was amazing. We then took the Vapparoto to Burano, it was absolutely beautiful, but a long trip. we had a great lunch, and opted for a private water taxi back to Venice
  8. We went to Lucca after spending a hot, packed morning in Pisa, it was wonderful, we strolled around, had a late lunch and a bottle of Chianti..and gelato !!
  9. My son-in-law is vegan and on our Greek Cruise on Constellation we told the waiter and every night they brought him a menu for the next night and he choose what he wanted. He said there were a lot of options and was never hungry, he was also able to get Vegan Pizza, and the stir fry at the buffet.
  10. We are thinking of doing the same thing, but considering taking the train, or hiring a private driver, we did that when we were in Dubrovnik, we hired a driver to take us to Cavtat . There will be 8 of us,
  11. We stayed at the Chambiges Élysées, it was a great location, we took a bus to the Eiffel Tower, but could have walked. I booked online and it was 270e/ night. There was breakfast available for purchase, we paid 5 e For us we only had a short time in Paris, so we wanted to have a centrally located hotel.

  13. We did Paris and Normandy before our Baltic cruise in August We flew to Paris, spend 1 night, we were scheduled for 2 nights, but sadly we missed our overseas flight as our first flight from Florida to Newark was delayed ( another story ) We took private transportation to our hotel, Chambiges Elysées, which had breakfast available, We took the public bus to the Eiffel Tower and than a boat ride on the canal, we passed Notre Dame. The next day we took a train to Bayeux and stayed at the Hotel Churchill the next morning we did the American D-Day Experience - Utah & Omaha, with the Bayeux Shuttle. It was a private tour for 4 of us and a wonderful experience , yes we did get to walk on the beach The next day we took the train back to Paris
  14. State Department employees and families were flown on a chartered airplane to a military base for quarantine and care The US passengers should receive the same treatment
