  1. You have been missing it for over 20 years when Black Friday started to roll over into Thursday night then all week and then all month. I liked the original concept. Today is is just a glorified sale with very little in savings.
  2. Just got the 1 person 2 device for 13.99 for device 1 and 9.99 for device 2. So 143.88 for 6 day cruise. Better hurry if you want that price. It is definitely mispriced. Also getting the "Be Back Soon" message once in awhile.
  3. Start hunting at a minute past midnight on the day the sale starts. That is what I have learned thru this.
  4. Maybe the cruise planner is not calculating it correctly then. 6 night cruise has 14.99 for device 1 and 11.99 for device 2 which should be 161.88 total but checkout has it at 191.84 Probably part of their problems today.
  5. Is there tax or gratuity added to the Internet packages now? The one I booked last month for the Halloween sell for one person 2 devices was more expensive per day than the current Black Friday sale but the Black Friday price is higher at checkout. The difference is 18 percent higher.
  6. I believe if you pay for the cruise entirely at booking or once it is payed off then you can't transfer it.
  7. It may be best to purchase the unlimited dining plan where you will be able to work with the waiters on a more personal level than in the mass dining areas like Windjammer and Main Dining Room. Breakfast should be easy enough in the Windjammer.
  8. Does that price include the 18% tip? If not, then you are looking at 217. I would hold off for a better price, maybe Black Friday or Cyber Monday. Since you are going over the holidays though deep price cuts are not likely to happen. You can almost always get buy on get one free any night of the cruise just by asking.
  9. If you are unvax but check vax on your health check in questions no one will ever question it. If you are vax there is no time you ever have to show proof. This applies to cruises where ports or duration are not an issue.
  10. Most of the time you can just go to the specialty restaurant you want to eat at and request a buy one get one free at they will honor it. Sometimes only specific nights and sometimes right on the spot.
  11. Best to listen to your financial advisor. After a stock has dropped about 90 percent then they might tell you it is time to sell. It will never happen before then.
  12. The prices you pay to rent a couch and a couple of chairs for 6 hours or so you should be getting tipped by Royal.
  13. It is a long way. At least 100 yards from the nearest cabana.
  14. Chill Island. There is a paved path to Chill island from the ship but she will need to transfer to one of the beach wheelchairs to actually get to the cabana.
  15. Only if you are the first one there. The sand is like glacial silt. Once you stir it up the water quickly becomes very murky. Once the crowd arrives you cannot see your feet in knee deep water. South beach seems a little better then Chill beach though.
  16. If you indicate you are vax on the health form they never ask for any proof. Probably they check it out with CDC and you get flagged if you put down you are vaxxed but they could not find a record. Never hurts to have your vax card. Unvaxxed. Just show a picture of a negative test. Your test, anyones test, a fake test, it does not matter.
  17. Nothing changes, here is the policy in effect until April 30 2023. The following information applies to residents of North America who book passage on Royal Caribbean International (“RCI” or the “cruise line”) sailings scheduled during the nationally declared Public Health Emergency involving COVID-19. 100% cruise fare refund for you, and your Travelling Party, if any of you tests positive for COVID-19 within 10 days prior to the cruise or at the boarding terminal, for cruises departing on or before April 30, 2023.  Here is what changes if you depart after Sept 30. If you test positive for COVID-19 during the cruise, Royal Caribbean will cover the costs of COVID-19 related medical treatment onboard.  Here is what it is for departures prior to Sept 30. If you test positive for COVID-19 during the cruise, Royal Caribbean will cover the costs of COVID-19 related medical treatment onboard, and provide assistance with any required land-based quarantine, as well as coordinate travel home for you and your Traveling Party, for cruises departing on or before September 30, 2022. Also, if you booked your cruise after August 8 and sail prior to Sept 30 you have to follow the after Sept 30 changes. If you booked prior to August 8 you get the prior to Sept 30 policy.
  18. There are two things to consider. The food will be better and the dining atmosphere will be slower paced. At the specialty places you get an appetizer, then salad, then main entre and last, desert, if you want. So if you don't mind 2 hour dinner and lunches then that adds value to the package. If you intend to eat and run then the increase in quality does not offset the price increase. If you are a wine drinker you do get the 40 percent off bottles of wine and there are some reasonably priced bottles considering you are on a cruise ship. So you could skip the beverage package and get the dining package and get a decent price reduction on wine. You can take the bottle back to your room or even to a bar to finish it. You can buy all the bottles you want. Knock one out for dinner and take a 2nd to the karaoke bar.
  19. What to Wear: • Closed-toe shoes are required.
  20. If other people are concerned about being exposed they need to report to the basement and self isolate forever. Had all the symptoms but did not test. Instead, went to the airport and flew to Las Vegas and went to a convention with 5000. Several at my table discussed covid symptoms we all had. LOL.
  21. It is a snorkel excursion. Snorkeling was OK, much better than anything at Labadee. You can walk around the island in about 10 minutes. There are some hammocks to relax in under the trees for shade also and of course the beach.
