Another shot from our recent cruise. This one taken from Accra Beach on Barbados.

I took this photo of Constellation and Queen Mary 2 as we were headed back to the ship after a day on St. Kitts.

 

This is why I have my photos hosted on Photobucket.Com, so anyone can see them.

 

Even though I use Kodak Gallery for album storage, I use Photobucket for posting to threads and recommend it as well.

I cant view them either..says Im forbidden!!

 

I can see them just fine. Perhaps only people with Webshots accounts can view them.

I was perusing photos from our cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas two years ago and found this shot that I really like. The colors and perspective of the pier make it interesting and having DW in the bottom corner is always a plus. It was taken at the Costa Maya cruise pier in Mexico.

 

I think the problem is that Yahoo does not permit direct linking to photos in their galleries.

 

Agreed. I had the same problem trying to link to photos at Kodak Gallery. I now use Photobucket for posting photos to the boards.

boeckli - unfortunately I think you are linking to pictures that are stored in a 'forbidden' or restricted area. The links are not working without your log-in info.

 

I can see boeckli's photos. This kind of problem occurrs with some photo web sites - some can see them and some can't. I had the same problem trying to link to photos on Kodakgallery. I still use Kodakgallery for album storage (see link in my signature), but I gave up and started using Photobucket for links to use in the boards.

How did you post the photo so big? It took me forever to get mine uploaded.

Welcome to the boards Georgia. The more posts the merrier. I for one never tire of seeing other's photos.

Technically, this is not a cruise photo, but I thought it was an interesting shot. It was taken on board the Queen Mary prior to our cruise on Monarch of the Seas last month. I was standing at the bow looking back towards the bridge.

Welcome EnidSooner. Always glad to see other posters who live in this part of the world. Bet you're chomping at the bit for football season to start. A little story to tie cruising to football. We were on a cruise when the Superbowl was played this past February. The game was shown on huge screens in the ship's theatre. We stopped in to catch part of it. We were near Cozumel at the time and we got an ESPN feed from Mexico. There were english announcers (the secondary audio feed I suppose), but the graphics were in Spanish. Quite an interesting expereince.

 

OK, back on subject. I'm posting a photo that I've posted before, but many could not see my previous posting because of problems with Kodak Gallery. I'm now using Photobucket so everyone should be able to see it. It is a shot of Norwegian Dream from our balcony on Splendour of the Seas as we are anchored off of Cozumel.

 

I use photobucket as well, but be careful, as I understand, if you move the order or rename the photo it will remain intact in photobucket, but not on anylinks that you've posted you're photos.

That would appear to be the case. I have been tweaking my photos stored on photobucket and notice that you can no longer see the ones I posted here earlier :(. Oh well - live and learn.

I've finally broke down and registered to use Photobucket, as so many of you have suggested, so I could add photos to my postings. I use Kodak Gallery for my main photo storage, but as many of you know, not everyone can see photos if they are inserted from Kodak Gallery. I plan to continue to use Kodak Gallery for photo album storage and will continue to post the link to my albums in my signature.

 

As a trial run, I'm including an interesting before and after view of the main pool on Rhapsody of the Seas. The first photo was taken shortly after sunrise as I wandered in solitude around the ship. The second was taken shortly after noon.

I have been using Kodak Gallery and I don't have any problem pasting links into my posts. Some people seem to have problems seeing them, but others don't. Apparently some people are having problems seeing links to Webshots, but I have not had any problems.

I was able to see the photos posted by IheartPrincess without any problems, but I also use Kodak Gallery to post my photos. I determined that IheartPrincess used Kodak Gallery by checking the properties of her photos. We had a rather long discussion about this problem when I first posted photos back on about page 18 of this thread. I don't know what the problem is :confused: but you can work around it as Tyrkitty suggested.
