  1. I booked this exact cruise for next year. It's still available, can only assume it's a glitch in the matrix. Try again.
  2. The liquid is such a small qty and it's a sealed package. Won't be a problem.
  3. It sends you to a link with a handy dandy drop down box to select your port of departure. For me I still have to test out of Seattle because the Canadian Gov't still requires it. The letter was a great way to take the guessing out of all the changes.
  4. Are reservations required for the fitness center on Quantum of the Seas? I'm not interested in the classes that have an extra fees and times, just the Vitality Fitness Center itself. Couldn't tell from the Mr. Google search if the reservations that were required were due to prior Covid restrictions. TY!🦾
  5. We will be on this cruise with you and live just outside of Seattle. My commute to Quantum will be 45 minutes. I've also ordered amazing weather to greet you today! 😉 I'll be sure to say hello if I recognize you.
  6. Being an avid cruise in their own right I let my kiddo @ 11 explore the ship on their own. We had the safety discussion, reinforced behavior is the exact same as with me, I knew approximately where they were off to and we had mandatory check-in's. It will also say it was a great way for me to sip my drink on the balcony and send my kiddo out for pizza to bring back 😃
  7. More Clarification: Filling out the form is not the same as submitting it to the Canadian Government. My cruise is 8/15, Seattle-Round trip. I've already downloaded the app, added all in my party with their passport and vaccine information. That way the only thing I have to do is hit the submit button when it's time (72 hrs prior to cruise start date or before we arrive in Victoria, BC) to do so. No messing around with the data input. Hope this helps your questions! Here's a note I received from my Suite Conceire this week on the subject: A Friendly reminder for your Arrive CAN for Canada, please try to finish this and get your QR code ready in hand for your smooth check in process. You can do this by visiting ArriveCANhttps://arrivecan.cbsa-asfc.cloud-nuage.canada.ca/welcome 3 days prior to the cruise starts or before you arrive Canada, please see the attachment for your reference.
  8. It's a Canadian customs form so it does need to be filled out. I downloaded the app and fill out the information prior to our cruise next week. Makes it easier to submit later in the week.
  9. Our concierge reached out 10 days prior for our cruise leaving a week from today. They responded next day to my email inquiry. In the past it's been hit or miss on receiving any communication.
  10. Two sperate would be ideal you could also look for rooms with connecting doors if you'd like to have it open and be more connected. A travel agent would ideally help you make your final selections. Have fun!
  11. Just got a notification today, due to supply chain issues the Alaskan blanket I purchased is no longer available for my cruise. I'll be bringing a small travel waterproof blanket.
  12. I resisted the lanyard for years (and years) but having misplaced my card so frequently I gave in. Stops me from losing it. To each their own.
  13. We are cruising on Quantum in a week, shows and activities will not be available to book until we connect to the ships WiFi on departure day.
  14. As someone who puts in a very large effort to choose the exact category and location on a ship doing the RoyalUp comes with a list of unknowns. I've successfully gotten two RoyalUp's, one to a grand-suite and one to a loft suite but I chose to do so on both ships as I was ok with the potential locations of those categories. Sounds like you have particular requirements, which is ok, and RoyalUp is too much of a gamble for you. Enjoy it...I personally do like aft balconies. It's a different view and tends to be quieter in the hallways.
  15. I travel frequently for work and cruise frequently as well. I use higher end hard luggage and have never had a problem. The cheap target brand we gave my kiddo lasted three airplane trips.
  16. In my 25 years of cruising no sailing is guaranteed. I've missed Hubbard Glacier due to 20' waves, had a ship go back to a port for a medical emergency shortening the time spent at our next port, missed an entire country due to severe weather, diverted from an western Caribbean port to an eastern Caribbean port due to a crazy storm system, perfect day at coco cay cut in half due to a severe storm system, missing a port due to engine problems. That being said I've only been comped twice for two instances and we were good with it. The joys of travel...things happen.
  17. We’re from Seattle and will be on Quantum in a few weeks. We are packing rain pants because no matter the weather if it’s torrential downpours we will still be outside 🙂 Also, we have a few excursions that are exposed to the elements so they might come in handy. They take up little space. Pack in layers, have waterproof jackets and you’ll be ready!
  18. I became picky about my stateroom location after I had a room under the running/pool deck on a ship. Never again, I select my exact room! But some are more carefree than I and I'm slightly envious of those individuals, on occasion.
  19. If you're a suite guest you can arrive an hour early. From what I've read it's either no issue or you are stuck waiting in terminal and not allowed to check in. Flip of a coin. The check in times are there to allow for a more coordinated flow of passengers so there's less bottleneck .
  20. I will only cruise if I have an ocean balcony. It's 100% personal preference but I use my balcony. It's my morning coffee spot, relaxation area, book reading spot, quiet from the hustle and bustle of the cruise. It's an important part of my vacation to not be going 100% of the time.
  21. Alaska cruises tend to be less formal and the rules overall have been relaxed. We are going to Alaska next month and plan to wear relaxed clothing in the main dining room on formal night. IT's a mix of jeans and dresses. You'll find a similar style most of the cruise.
  22. I added in my vaccine proof yesterday afternoon in the app and this morning it showed approved.
  23. Hello fellow cruisers! We are booked on Quantum August 15th and I’m in the midst of pre-planning what and when we’re going to book once onboard. For the NorthStar when do you recommend to book it? Port, sea, etc.
