  1. We went to the Golden Lion on Queen Elizabeth on embarkation on March 9 (a Saturday) in Sydney. It was like a peaceful haven compared to the Lido and the York ham and Cheddar never tasted better!
  2. We enjoyed dinner at the Verandah Restaurant on Queen Elizabeth in March. The menu changed from fine dining to Steakhouse after our booking but we persevered on the basis that the "Seafood Platter" looked a good choice. The restaurant is an excellent venue and we received a table for four to house the platter which was superb. Sadly the "sauces" were thin and inadequate. The desserts looked out of place in such a restaurant but the cheeseboard offered some good choice. The Verandah deserves better than a menu with steaks, ribs (and a burger!) and I do hope fine dining makes a return.
  3. On embarkation in March we were directed to the Lido for lunch (like almost everyone else). An empty table was hard to find and the food offerings were also in short supply. We retreated to the Golden Lion and enjoyed a very peaceful lunch.
  4. Still no communication from Cunard but our bank acknowledged the dispute on April 14 and seamlessly a credit for the full amount has appeared on our statement. These are generally small amounts but it doesn't generate trust in Cunard.
  5. After a cruise in March on QE we have had the same problem. Charges which were signed for agreed with invoice presented onboard so didn't query amount. The day after our credit card was charged a further amount of $US6.90. We emailed Cunard but only received an automated reply. Further correspondence from us has received no reply so we have handed the matter over to our bank. These discrepancies can't all be accidental.
