My 1st NCL cruise, 2nd cruise in total, was scheduled for 4/7/20 on the Escape out of NYC.

They didn’t bring a European plug adaptor?

I'm sailing in June and also had my time changed to 11AM which is when we arrive. My original booking was for the evening. but it's my understanding that they are good for the entire time, not reserved times.

It depends. My flight from Anchorage to Philly leaves at 2PM. I was expecting a red eye.

Thanks for the info on the juice bar. This wasn’t the only reason but would factor into the math to see if it would be worth it with all the other things.

They also could have left it at some random place when they realized it wasn’t their bag or threw it in the trash. Not all people care enough about a stranger to put forth effort.

Port days were the only days that I ate there.

There might be last minute cancellations or no shows, so no harm in checking. But I agree, if it is sold out online, there will not be any that they held back just to sell onboard. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

I suggest contacting NCL to make sure you have a zero balance owed immediately. I wouldn't want to risk the reservation being cancelled because of that.

The first night does usually involve some sort of introductory exercise, wear a name tag and go around and introduce yourself. I'm happy to have an involved solo host as some are MIA on any given night or not engaged with the group in any way. I had one who was able to dine with us a couple of times (I think he was most excited about us sliding him a drink or 2)

I am a person who loves Vibe but can also say I still enjoy my cruises just as much on ships without it. And the vast majority of cruisers on a ship with Vibe can probably say the same thing since Vibe is so limited. I do believe that people really hype Vibe up to the extreme. Some might walk away from these Vibe threads with idea that their cruise will be majorly subpar if they don’t have Vibe passes and start off disappointed before they even set foot on the ship that they didn’t get them. Yes there are people who will not cruise if they don’t get Vibe passes but even that is a minority of Vibe users. Just like there are some people who won’t cruise unless it’s in the Haven or will never book an interior.

I am aware of all of that. Simply repeating what I've been told by people who do not want to put their event tickets into their wallet.

I work at an entertainment venue and quite a few iPhone users also don't use their wallet. Some have even removed the app completely. They mistakenly think that it will somehow put their financial data at risk. As we all stand there waiting for internet connectivity so they can access their tickets via some other app. lol

I’m doing a B2B on Escape, the 8 day Bahama and 5 day Bermuda in March 2025. I’ve been wanting to sail on her since I 1st started sailing on NCL. I’ve heard so many great things. I’m also on the 12 day Breakaway in 2026.

Is there a juice bar on the Sky or a place I can get a variety of freshly squeezed juice? I'm trying to decide if getting the upgraded beverage plan would be worth it for me. If I could get fresh juice other than OJ, it would be. But I don't see any mention of it anywhere. Or if anyone has a list of ships that serve a variety of fresh juice, that would be helpful too. Thanks

It's possible the machine was low on beans.

Only you can decide what location is best for you since it will be based on your preferences. But look at the deck plans for the ships you are considering for the solo categories and see where they are located.

My suggestion is to get the balcony at this bargain price. Then you can see what a balcony is worth to you for future sailings.

I was in a solo inside and won a balcony upgrade. I was placed in a solo balcony. I don't know if that was a coincidence or not. My ship doesn't have a studio though.

Look at the location of the solo inside cabins vs the studio cabins and factor that into your decision. So far, I have found the new solo cabins to be in less than desirable locations (no location that I would've picked).

I will be taking my 3rd MSC cruise out of Brooklyn on the Meraviglia in October. That's the cruiseline I would recommend to someone who likes NCL but wanted something different. I was on their first sailing out of Brookyn and yes it was chaotic. The second time was infinitely better, and I had the same arrival time. The same could be said for disembarkation. I thought the bar service was good. The bartenders at the Edge bar would get my caramel cappuccino with a shot of Bailey's ready as soon as they saw me in the mornings. They have espresso machines at most bars. I'm not even a coffee drinker but I loved my espresso with a piece of dark chocolate. I didn't have any issues with the food in the MDR. I ate most of my meals there, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food service was spotty though. Like if I wanted a juice that wasn't on the tray they walked around with, I might have to ask 3 or 4 servers about it before I finally got it. It sometimes took a while for one of my friends to get either cream or milk for her coffee. I can't remember which, but it wasn't the one they serve with the coffee. The only specialty restaurants that I ate at were the Mexican place and the Sushi place, which were both excellent and cheap in my opinion. I ate at both several times each on my 12 day cruise. the buffet pizza is as good as everyone says it is.

I don’t like the Flow water because it’s alkaline water. I prefer tap/buffet water. If I get the upgraded drink package, I get Acqua Panna. I wish I could order that as a water package.

Maybe it's new for 2024? I don't even recall anyone mentioning it in recent (post COVID) discussions.

I saw an old one posted. I do believe there used to be a snack menu. There was no snack menu on any of my cruises with a Vibe since I started sailing NCL after the start-up. Getaway, Breakaway, and Prima
