I have a cruise in Sept I’m going to cancel to Bermuda. I have a cruise to Amsterdam next April. I’m planning on going on that one. I think the cruise lines will no longer pack people in. They may change a lot of features to guarantee 6’ distance. I think they’d rather have half full ships then no ships sailing. The question for me is the casino.  I’m a CAS guest. How can casinos operate with social distancing. I get slots can be every other. But I play craps & blackjack. I can’t wait to see what the cruise lines do. Also hoping for vaccine by winter🤞🏼

An Amsterdam cruise sounds great, hope you have so much fun. I've been pondering the same questions you've asked. I don't see social distancing being possible on a cruise ship. Think muster drills, pool area, bars, casinos, lounges, and elevators, the whole thing is built on social gathering really. I definitely believe their will be an increase of hand sanitizer stations and staff may wear masks. Maybe mandatory hand wash, sanitize, or washy washy before entering any dining area or bar? Less tables? Maybe they'll have passengers sign health waivers? I like your idea of half full ships though lol I noticed NCL cut back on the # of specialty dinings included in "free at sea" I'm curious what additional cuts will be made. I'm in it for the long haul with NCL, I've enjoyed every vacation with them and will continue supporting them.

Apparently RCL is exploring electronic Muster drill.

The open bar is the only thing that made those Sun cruises even worth considering IMO. I've grabbed a few last minute weekend 3 nighters for $300 - $350 pp at sailaway rate (comes out to about $850 - $900 per cabin after the inflated taxes and "fees" and TA OBC) and even then do I barely consider that to be worth the money considering on top of that, the DSC is $20.50pp/pd. That puts you at $1,000+ for a 3 night trip to Nassau and GSC with no sea days in an interior GTY.  Sun is a nice, older refurbished ship, but there are better options out there. The open bar available at sailaway rate set the Sun apart from the competition.  With RC's new and improved Mariner of the Seas at Port Canaveral, I don't know how NCL thinks they are going to compete.

The Sun is OK but NCL does have great night options. One thing RC lacked was a bar after midnight. My experience, everyone gathered at the pizza place (not good at all) or ate small sandwiches on RC cruise, has this changed? NCL has the sports bar that is open to 3am or later and serves a decent menu (wings, sandwiches, etc) and full bar.
