  1. I had to look it up. If it costs anything, I'd skip it, unless it was a steakhouse dinner outside. That's a new one one me.
  2. I've heard they do have a video you need to watch, but I couldn't find it on our Vista cruise last August. LOL. Muster you will love: you go to your assigned muster station(ask ANY Carnival employee; they know exactly where to send you). You go and watch a 2 minute demonstration on how to put on a life jacket. They scan your boarding pass, and you're on your way. Easy peasy, no fuss or bother. đź‘Ť
  3. First drink when I step on the ship, a Funship Special. After that...a Funship Special. After that.... anything that has alcohol in it!
  4. Just google 'dress shorts" and you'll see the difference. Kind of like golf shorts. Longer at the knees, etc. Not like cargo shorts, or camping shorts, or gym shorts, etc.
  5. This is a fairly often asked question. The short answer is "no". And Carnival stands firmly on that decision. Sorry.
  6. Perhaps it varies by ship. Ours was delivered to us on our Vista cruise last August on the last night. It was a liter of Johnny Walker Black, and I sure was tempted to break it open & have a scotch & water, but I resisted, with a stern admonishment from wifey.
  7. I'd say it tastes more like a gamey fish. When I was a kid growing up in Ft. Worth, we'd drive every weekend up to our place in Clay County, where we had a place. 3 or 4 times a year, we'd go out frog gigging in one of our stock tanks, and we'd bring in a bucketful of frogs, and mom & her friends would fry it up in a pan. I really developed a taste for it. Mom & Dad considered it a delicacy. Fried frog legs, corn on the cob, pinto beans, and bread. Yummmm.
  8. Holy Moly DrDivyne!! It worked! Thanks so much 15,000 points!! đź‘Ť
  9. I remember seeing that first run on SNL! They did several skits of that.
  10. Don't worry about it. You were just trying to be helpful, and someone just had to make a smart ass comment, to display their(or so they thought) intellectual superiority)... which didn't work.
  11. Ok, I feel like I'm totally out of the loop. I was under the firm impression that NO testing was required to board the ship....only show your vax card, and other usual boarding docs. Am I mistaken?
  12. Yes, very. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that's just the way it is....at least that's how we found it. Bring plenty of patience when you begin the disembark process.
  13. Correction please. You choose your arrival time. Not your boarding time. That will vary with the ship's arrival time to the pier, the disembarkation of passengers that are coming off of the ship, how quickly the hotel crew can get the rooms ready for the next set of passengers, etc.
  14. That's done at online check in. Not before.
  15. Not to late at all! We did for our 50th wedding anniversary. I let our PVP know prior to sailing AND to Guest Services once we boarded. They treated us very nice, with drink coupons, anniversary cake in MDR, and champagne & chocolate covered strawberries left in our room.
  16. Carnival has all sorts of things that you can decorate your room(& door) with. It's on the website.
  17. Hi Derek, welcome to the Carnival CC forum! I don't know if this link will help you, but here it is. It list all of the CD's Carnival Cruise Line has scheduled. https://airtable.com/shrxzucqLGHbpDmm8/tblZJCAW6us7UhDmZ I would think that the more experienced cruise directors are are on the bigger ships, while the lesser ones are assigned to the smaller ones. Just my opinion
  18. Neither have I. Only in cabin programming. So IMO that doesn't count.
