  1. I have purchased The Key for 3 previous cruises and 1 upcoming cruise in December. These are the reasons that I see value in purchasing The Key: I travel solo and plan to purchase the Internet. I have been able to reserve The Key for $19.99 on each of my cruises. I only book on the smaller/older ships so that might have something to do with the lower price. FWIW the current price is $28.99 for my December cruise. I don't purchase a drink package and always bring water bottles or soda on board. I enjoy being able to drop these off in the main dining room and have them delivered to my room. I enjoy the Chops lunch in the main dining room on embarkation day. I get to avoid the crowds at the buffet and have a nice leisurely lunch. The disembarkation breakfast is also one of my favorite things about The Key. I live close to the port and have a friend pick me up. I can enjoy my breakfast and wait until they are on their way to disembark. In my experience, The Key has a special place to pick up your luggage and I have been able to to get into a "express" line at customs that I believe is also open to Pinnacles and Suites. I have never waited more than 10 minutes in line at customs.
  2. I did this excursion on my cruise last year in Belize and loved it!
  3. I did the All Access Tour on Serenade in May. They will let you know what time and where to meet by leaving paperwork on your stateroom door the day before. I believe we met at 9am at Vintages Bar. You will have to sign a waiver to participate and will also need long pants and closed toed shoes to take part. I believe it lasted about 2 hours.
  4. I have purchased the Key three times, twice for past cruises and also for my upcoming cruise next month. I travel solo and will purchase the internet package regardless. Each time I have purchased the Key, it was only a few dollars more a day than the internet package. The price for my April cruse is currently up to $29.99 a day which I would not be willing to pay (current internet package price is $17.99 a day). I find value in the Chops lunch and the debarkation breakfast. Since I am solo, it would be difficult to try to juggle my carry on at the buffet when it is super busy. I live locally to the port and am in no rush to get off the ship. I like to sit down and have a nice breakfast before I disembark. My last cruise out of Tampa was delayed due to fog. The port ended up being a huge mess and I was waiting outside in line for hours. Once I made it inside the gate, I saw an employee holding a Key sign and I was able to cut in front of a few hundred people in line. That in and of itself was worth the extra money I paid for the Key.
  5. I have this excursion booked for an upcoming cruise and this is what the website says: All minors must be accompanied onto the island and have the parent or legal Guardian complete the waiver form. Under 16 years of age must be accompanied on the activity by a ticketed parent, legal guardian or a responsible adult 18 years or older. Restrictions Minimum height: 48 inches Minimum weight: 75 pounds Maximum weight: 275 pounds
  6. I was 37 on my first solo cruise. Most of the solos I met on that cruse were in their 50s and 60s. I will be leaving for my second solo cruise on my 41st birthday.
