  1. Hello I will be traveling on Princess for the first time, to Alaska. I’m on Royal Princess, going to Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway. I’m traveling solo so I booked a lot of activities since we will be at port for several hours. I’m wondering if anyone knows where the Royal docks in proximity to the Mt Roberts Tram and where would I locate the non tour shuttles to Mendenhall Glacier. We are in port 8am to 9pm. If I head out around 4pm will I have time to shuttle over to Mendenhall, Nugget Falls, shuttle back and take the tram before heading back to the ship? That’s 5 hours but I have to add in wait times, walking and delays coming down from Mt Roberts. Are there a lot of trails at the top or is it a stop view, take photos, get back on tram and enjoy the ride? How long are wait times for shuttles and tram? Thank you
  2. Has anyone found an equivalent necklace for the medallion? I like the necklace but it’s a lot to just wear for a week
  3. Ship massage are way too pricey and they never do deep tissue really well. I can google just thought this would be an easier and better way.
  4. Hello everyone. I will be cruising to Alaska at the end of August with ports in Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway. Does anyone know or have information regarding massages that are close enough to walk to in any of these ports? Thank you so much
  5. I have never sailed Princess but will very soon for the first time. I’ve sailed Carnival, Royal, Celebrity, and NCL. I LOVE the thermal suite. In my opinion it is the best luxury you can award yourself. On Celebrity the thalassotherapy pool was in general use area. On Carnival it is in the suite itself. 40 passes for 2000+ people is not a lot. The cost or up charges for cruising anymore have gotten out of control. No longer are you treated all as one class once you leave your suite/ cabin. It’s about paying extra for a lot of what you want. Up charging for meals, coffee, entertainment, adult only areas, pools, and sometimes theater shows is getting a little too Disneyland like nowadays. I think the thermal suite is reasonable to charge extra for because it’s not necessary. However, adult only areas, food, and entertainment should never be up charged as this is why we all cruise. It’s not like $1000 for an inside cabin is a great value when excursions and all other services mentioned are not all included. BTW even on Celebrity which s a higher class than Princess, does not charge for adult only areas. Also as stated the thalassotherapy pool was for general use. Something to consider.
