  1. Each day on board, the medallion wifi page will show you a declining cost to purchase Wi-Fi for the remaining days of a given cruise.
  2. There will generally be wifi available at ports of call along the way. Generally speaking Wi-Fi and terminal buildings ashore is abysmal. I’m thinking more retail and restaurant establishments away from the port itself.
  3. It’s really neat that the medallion can be used for going ashore either for excursions or at the end of the cruise. Other cruise lines, I’m thinking MSC and probably others, have a medallion type device that opens cabin doors and can be used for onboard purchases, but the cruise card is still required when leaving the ship. 🤷🏼‍♂️
  4. Let's keep talking about it on a public forum and give MSC more incentive to kill it.
  5. Find a good travel agent and let them deal with it. They have (at least the one we use) direct contact with stateside Princess personnel who are always (our experience anyway) able to get things done. Life's far too short to deal with Princess offshore personnel.
  6. @LACruiser88 You’re the BEST!! Thank you. 😃
  7. Would you mind sharing the specifics on the connection/conversion device you are using? And to stay on topic, the Sapphire is hands-down, our favorite ship in the entire fleet.
  8. I bought one specifically for this application. Glad it wasn’t expensive as it didn’t do a thing for me. 😟
  9. We just left from 14 days in YC on Seascape. I took a Lightening to HDMI cable in an attempt to connect my iPhone 13 to the TV. No matter what I did I could not make it work. My iPad has a USB-C connector and I didn’t have a USB-C to HDMI cable so I couldn’t try that. The TV in our cabin also had USB-A inputs. I couldn’t connect there either. I’m following other responses you may get.
  10. Just the term OnBoard Credit would imply that it must be used totally onboard. As the name implies. However, just to keep us from assuming too much, someone at Princess decided that OBC can be used for excursions prior to boarding. But nothing else.
  11. So happy that you’re here! You are one of my “forum heroes”
  12. New here. Where can I find the description of FCD availability, cost and rules for use? I’ve not yet stumbled upon it anywhere on the HAL website.
  13. As I look at the ship's track on Marine Traffic, it appears to have turned back toward Miami last night before finally resuming its journey towards the first stop.
  14. I also find this to be a curious observation. For the 2 weeks we were on board, he was all over YC. Several times he could be seen just walking around Deck 20 making conversation with the pax. VERY attentive and hands on guy.
  15. I defer to @skynight’s knowledge. I could’ve sworn when we were platinum there were drinks in the mini fridge but it’s been so long I honestly can’t remember.
  16. Also first responders and educators. 😃
  17. Minibar drinks are charged for platinum unless you are in a suite. In which case, they are included in your fare.
  18. We are booked on an April 2026 sailing out of Galveston so I hope your Nov 2026 isn’t the first one!!
  19. And a wonderful member of the team she is!! Taylan refers to her as “my right hand”.
  20. Incorrect. On Seascape now: Don’t drink so can’t speak to the wine guy.
