  1. 24 years active duty here, and I must agree, I don't do buffets either. But hey, I was Air Force, we had our meals catered and fed to us. Even during my deployments. I'm joking of course....kinda.
  2. Well, fellow cruiser, I think I will attempt to prove that wise man wrong! I'll admit, I'm NOT a fan of eating at any buffet. But that's been since long before COVID. With that being said, I find plenty of other options on a cruise, so it's all good with me.
  3. I haven't before, but I have one booked on the Horizon for next year. But when I booked our Mardi Gras cruise for this Thanksgiving, I decided not to because the ship only has interior or ocean view for the family harbor suites. Had to settle for an ocean suite 😞 Was really surprised to see they had no family harbor balconies on the Mardi Gras, but it's all good.
  4. Oh, my bad. Was a link my agent just shared last night. My apologies folks.
  5. https://www.forbes.com/sites/suzannerowankelleher/2021/05/30/florida-governor-ron-desantis-cruise-line-exemption-vaccine-passport-ban/?sh=2ae4c52d5ed5 We'll see what happens, but I kinda expected this to come up. Rather I do or do not agree with the governor, I do think there has to be some sort of negotiations.
  6. Thanksgiving 2021 (November 20th) Honestly, I'm just excited to cruise again, I haven't really focused on one thing in particular. Ready to try 'Big Chicken' and maybe to first coaster at sea. A new look atrium will be cool. But still, I personally can't think of what I'm looking forward to the most, other than stepping foot on a cruise ship.
  7. What are you talking about? They got masks for those too!
  8. Fascination, Jun 2014, oldest son's high school graduation......now we're hooked!
  9. Virtual muster drills would be cool. Also, at the buffets, having the food served. I'm sorry, but I'm way too tired of seeing people lick their fingers, then grab the next serving utensil. Or coughing/sneezing into their hands, then grab the next serving utensil. I know that just adds to the jobs of the ship employees, but it's very disgusting, even pre-pandemic.
  10. Tried searching online for it, can't find it. I'd like to see them both.
  11. I bring mine on no problem. As mentioned, just make sure it's in your carry-on luggage, and NOT checked luggage. Last cruise, Carnival even had an extra extension cord delivered to our room.
  12. The Teriyaki salmon. And getting a burrito for lunch. And most of all, those cookies they have out throughout the day. No idea what they are, maybe shortbread, or some kind of butter cookies. I've cut out all junk food and candy since October last year, but if this November sailing on the Mardi Gras happens, I'm making up for it!
  13. See, this is why I don't do buffets anywhere anymore if possible. I see this so often and wonder what in the world this adult could be thinking.
  14. If it were me, I'd ask if you could get a 2 week extension from the deadline to pay it.
