Hi Vegasgirl702! yes I will join the roll call! Loved sailing out of Venice on RCI Grandeur last year so booked this as different itinerary, not sailed on Solstice Class yet and LOVE the Greek islands;). Flights booked and set to go!:)

Us too! 12th July from Venice - cant wait:)
  4. Thank yo very much Phil, Lauri and everyone else for putting my mind at rest. Thats really great news. You have all been so helpful. :) Debbie
  5. Thank you very much Phil for adding to this -have you sailed from that port yourself on Azamara? I have tendered off Villefranche before on Liberty of the Seas which is huge so unsurpiringly never went from Nice itself....very confusing as a few agents/adverts say Nice (Villefranche) as the departure port for Azanara Quest Grand Prix cruise rather than just NICE. dont want to miss the boat as they say!!!:) Debbie
  6. Thanks very much for the information. Debbie:)
  7. Hi - Could anyone confirm if Quest will leave from Villefranche or Nice port on our 5 day Grand prix cruise? Some ads say Nice and some say Villefranche but obviously different(know where both are) If Villefranche would it be tendered or docked? Many thanks. I am staying in Nice itself the night before and cannot find this information anywhere. Debbie

    Monaco Grand Prix

I am going to be on this year's Grand Prix cruise having never been before and have also booked for next year already!!!;) - I am so sure it will be great:) Bill - you have been informative about where the ship socks in Monaco so thanks for that - very helpful to know - but another question -where in Nice to we get on please? Some information says Nice itself and some literature says Villefranche? We are staying in Nice the night before. Debbie
  9. Hello- I just wondered if anyone else was going on the Grand Prix cruise with us next May? or went on last year's? We have never been on Azamara before though many times on RCI (Diamond), Disney and P & O. Really looking forward to it. It is a suprise for my husband.;) Debbie
  10. I have heard they have definitely cancelled the 1st of March 2012 sailing now:eek: - the refurb is going to be more extensive than first thought therefore looks like two if not three cruises will be cancelled. Would imagine 10th March sailing wont go ahead and possibly further ones. There will be lots of unhappy bunnies! Debbie

    Changing from P&O to RCI?

Hi there - I have been on Jewel of the Seas (sister to Brilliance) last year to the Baltics and really enjoyed it. However, I have also been on EXplorer, Navigator and Independence which have the Royal promenade like the Oasis but have not been on Oasis which is larger than them. I much prefer RCI to P & O (done Oriana and Oceana but not the bigger ones such as Azura you mention and ventura but these are the same model as Princess Grand Class ships)I would say Brilliance would be more the size of Oceana than Azura and Oasis would be certainly be much bigger! As a product RCI is better for me and my family (we like the mixture of nationalities as guests and servers and staff) but it depends alot on the stops and how many days at sea etc. You will get to see Barcelona as a bonus on the Brilliance rather than Southampton! but wont get all the extensive facilities you got on Oasis -but certainly lots of great facilities and dining options. The price is great too...Good luck.Debbie
  13. Thanks for that information -cant wait - I am on Barcelona 5 nighter to Rome/ Cannes and Florence on 25th April - that show sounds just my thing... love the music from SNF;) Hollyanna
  14. HI Barnleylass! Nice to hear from someone who is taking a teen - expecially a Yorkshire one! I am taking two boys aged 15 and 12. They are not bothered about formal nights if its with us but usually in the teen club on the last formal night they all get dressed up, do their own thing and have a group photo taken. They look great and have a real blast! Hope ours and yours are not the only teens though!. I expected there to be less kids than Med or Caribbean cruises due to the nature of the itiniary. Really looking forward to it as our the kids... should be great! Hollyanna:)
  15. Thank you so much madforcruising that is really helpful. Hollyanna;)
