  1. Nada. What if your cruise straddles the valid dates? Ironic. I just realized I will be in the UK on Independence Day. I wonder if they celebrate ? 😉🤠🤣
  2. Can we get back skeet shooting and golf driving off of the back of the ship ? 🤠
  3. I would say that compared to the London Afternoon Teas I had these would rank way below. I am not sure that I would do this even without a charge ... But as others have said you could do Cafe Al Bachio anyways. I will likely just do another afternoon tea in London vs. this tea. Do they have clotted cream on the Celebrity version?
  4. My thoughts also. Perhaps a bit better ambiance? I had muesli on my last three vacations, but not Celebrity. Is muesli a European thing? Many places cater to the "American" breakfast. Not my preference while on vacation and overseas ...
  5. Does this apply to Yacht Club? When I went to book I did not see an additional charge.
  6. We are still waiting on pictures and details from someone who has attended. Crickets so far. Sooner or later someone will ...
  7. No, I would not consider a cruise (or vacation) as a luxury indulgence. It can be depending upon your spending rate AND cruise line. But there are cruises out there that are less than $100 per person per day. That would be a better value than a Hampton Inn.
  8. So you would consider a vacation a luxury?
  9. LOL. I don't think that I would classify Celebrity as a luxury good. In my younger years I could cruise for less on Celebrity than on a traditional land trip with hotel. The market has changed, and Celebrity is not the same either... The land trips with more luxe hotels are less expensive than Celebrity. Celebrity has lost their edge that they once previously had. Sooner or later the market will reflect this. Cruises are booked a year or two in advance. Regarding Celebrity AI, it was good when it did include most and before they started adding additional charges. Now it has devolved to SI or Some Included.
  10. I suspect that Qsine was replaced by a kiddie show due to Celebrity trying for that elusive younger cruiser group ...
  11. Have you looked at Celebrity pricing lately. The rates have gone up much faster than inflation... They have raised their rates yet continue to nickel and dime...
  12. We have done this for our Apex cruise. When you go to check out it allows you to schedule the restaurants. Perhaps you booked before they added this?
  13. 1. I would expect for people to complain when something that was no charge is now a charge. 2. Nickel and diming on the upcharges is similar to flying an economy airline. Nothing special here. Nothing Come Close Tm to the number of slips I signed on my last Celebrity cruise for upcharges. Why bother the waiters and customers all of the time with itty bitty charges? 3. If you pay the base fare without any upcharges, you will not have to sign the endless slips or pay exorbitant fees. 4. If you upgrade your cruise with all of the upcharges you are likely to be paying more than you would for a premium/luxury cruise line which does not have all of the add on fees and does not have all of the numerous slips to sign. Some people upgrade to the premium drink package so that they don't have to sign slips. Yet if you are a Cabernet drinker there will be a slip to sign every time you have a drink. 5. The better cruise lines do not have all of these numerous upcharges ...
  14. That is about standard for an afternoon tea. One does not expect it to be crowded or loud and shouty.
  15. Would you get the premium toilet package or the classic? 🤣
  16. I think that the next upcharge on Celebrity will be for pay toilets 😁 Or maybe they bring back the $2 chocolate chip cookies 😁
  17. This was for a renew done online. From start to arriving in the mailbox.
  18. Well at least they won't be trimming the grass when they pull into port. I was trying to get pictures of the Sydney Opera House when they were doing this.
  19. This ^^^^^ Many stories have an extreme political bias.
  20. Yes, but suppose that you use it for a cruise within 6 months and then decide to cancel later on ... Do you get all of your money back?
