  1. Yeah well, considering this fella drinks Dom P, Caymus, Goose and such, I'm sure this won't be a problem. 😄
  2. Considering you have priority boarding and guest service line access, you may be better off simply going to guest services when you board and adding any gift cards to your folio as "credit". This would allow you to load as much as you want, spend freely, and also be able to have any remaining funds mailed to you or cashed out via casino cage. I'm sure you'll have zero problems spending either the CC or CCbar but it's a way around the $500 limits and ensures a return of any unused funds.
  3. Click on the link I posted, select country (from drop down menu), select port from list, select month (blue box).
  4. Thanks for all the great photos, it was like a photo review, I really liked the sun sets and the night shots on the water of the shore, nicely done.
  5. Sad update on that fellow passenger, that is terrible news. Thanks for taking the time to do a review, it was an enjoyable read. Hope you're feeling better.
  6. Last time we were on you couldn't walk entirely around deck 5 anymore, they had the very forward area closed off as a crew only area. Too bad they couldn't do it like Miracle (deck 3) and just put up some signs for "crew area" and still allow passengers in as well, pretty sure it's just being used as a crew smoking area but it's a neat space all the way up front and I know most of us have no problem having crew hanging out as well.
  7. I don't know, a Christmas cruise is pretty unique for an inaugural IMO. That's like a double benefit and is pretty sick IMO. I'd be pumped for that!
  8. No, only reason is a shorter line at guest services, it should be included for suites but it's not for some odd reason, it costs them nothing and adds more value. You get everything else with a suite, no reason to buy FTTF IMO.
  9. While this is the PC answer 🥰 It's also nice to know you "still got it" sometimes, no matter what any fella says about contentment. A little attention boosts the ego. 😉
  10. I think that is the posters point, he/she doesn't care if you care (or anyone for that matter). That also begs the question of how much do you care? Would you refuse to dine in the dining room in the presence of shorts and a t-shirt? Would you get up and leave? Would you focus on that all night and let it ruin your evening? Would it make your food not taste as good? I mean, I get having a preference but actually caring? Me personally, I couldn't care less, what someone else wears doesn't influence my experience in the least, sometimes it even creates a funny moment of laughter and entertainment if audacious enough. 😁
  11. Only summer is a bad time (IMO) as it's too hot/humid for the cruises I'd be likely to take; every other time is A-OK in my book, including spring break (love cruising then) and other family heavy times. My kids have a great time on cruises where there are more kids and when they have a great time, we have a great time. They are on vacation too and if it's "boring" then they are mopey and it's a bummer. I always see a lot of hate for kids and all these stories of woe about kids on cruises but my experience has been that it's generally ill-behaved adults that cause problems. I'd take loads of kids over loads of ghetto adults all day lol.
  12. Way too much common sense. Can't have that, better to make an entire post complaining about a ship that you refuse to sail on lol. There is a plus side, less crotchety folks means more room for us. I want to sail on Icon for sure, it may be my first fly to sailing in fact. I hope other lines follow and have similar design offering but kick it up a notch and have even more levels of fun in a nice open space design with maximum air, sunshine, sea views, sky views and loads of outdoor seating and spaces. I dig it immensely!
  13. This is actually a really good point. It made me go and look at my upcoming cruise and gratuities are 28.5% of the cruise fare (without taxes/port fees). I did get a good price on the cruise but I hadn't thought of it in these terms. It's quite high when you look at it like this. Very interesting observation!
  14. That's unfortunate, it does make you wonder what happened and why this is the case? Looks like I'm on the last 7-day cruise with Cabo first and the last 8-day in Nov. Feeling pretty lucky, having a 6:30am-2:30pm Cabo port day is not a good situation.
  15. Most smokers I know have switched to vaping, and not the cloud chucking types, the smaller low output types (think Juul) that use nicotine salts. They can be easily used almost anywhere and aren't bothersome to folks around them. Unfortunately, sometimes they are forced in with the analog cigarette smokers and it can be rough to be around once you've given up the ciggs; the stench can be overwhelming. I was hanging out on the smoking deck on Panorama last time I was on and had to get up and leave one time because it was unbearable. This from someone who enjoys cigars also. 😁
  16. Don't miss out on the duck at JiJi's, it's fantastic!
  17. Just checked and you're right! That's weird. My Jan and Nov cruises have Cabo first, guess I lucked out. That's an interesting change, thanks for the info. I'll have to be sure and pay attention on future bookings.
  18. As Megan said it rotates, when selecting the cruise, there will be two options for 7 days, pick the ones that has Cabo first. My past Panorama cruises have been Cabo first and the next two are also Cabo first.
  19. It was already there, I bought a Patron ($120) and two bottles of Goose($110 ea) before and they both had individual service/gratuity added on during checkout, taxes too. IIRC it was $20 ea bottle for that which is now $26/$26.99 ea, plus the higher prices and higher taxes. Crazy.
  20. That's because, as others here have stated, it's takes more to get a Real ID than to get a passport. It's crazy that only a handful of states went ahead with the enhanced version when the paperwork is the exact same. I have no clue why they should not count as a travel document on par with a passport considering it takes more documentation to get than a passport. They could easily transmit info to the feds and data bank it. Government inefficiency at its finest.
  21. Now you're talking! Fresh fish taccos, bbq'd/fried/smoked whole fish, ceviche, fresh oysters and aguachiles. So many great options there. Paradise for a seafood lover!
  22. Going to Mexico's seafood capital to eat Tex-Mex? No way! Seafood all day is the ticket. Glad to see Megan is having a great time on the Mex-Riv cruise. A lot of folks underestimate the itenerary, it's a great time.
