Use the HOHO as a last resort. At least until the construction in the city slows down. We had tickets for the Big Bus and due to all the construct, doing the loop on their Red Route took over three hours. We stayed near the Eye and ended up walking to a lot of places. The tube is easy to use. And for the times we just didn't feel like dealing with things we Uber'd.

We enjoy the Specialty Dining venues and usually eat at each one during a cruise. Maybe twice on a longer cruise.. We have a 31 day cruise booked and I just can't see myself wanting to eat at the specialty places every third night to get our money's worth. We enjoy the variety in the dining rooms. Even the buffet is a nice change once in awhile.

We prefer the Royal Class ships but just did a 14 night Norway/Iceland cruise on the Carribean Princess. She's certainly showing her age but is still in decent enough shape. If you're thinking of getting a mini suite you might consider a Window Suite instead. For a few bucks more you get all the full suite perks and more drawers and closets than you could ever fill. Only downside is no balcony. Since we were in Norway and Iceland where it was always windy and the temps never reached 60 it was perfect. ETA: I just noticed you're from London. So it never reached 15 degrees. 😉

I do the same. I wrap duct tape around an old credit card. It's come in handy when our luggage was damaged. Kept it together long enough to get home. I wrap a little blue painters tape around the duct tape for the auto-light.

Does anyone have any experience with Cover-More by Zurich? We've purchased insurance from them on our last few cruises. Thankfully we've never had to file a claim.

Same. I agree about the buffet. We found the service excellent but the food was lacking.

Princess has the only app I know that seems to get worse with each update - lol.

We exchange everything for ginger ale. It would certainly save them time and effort to let us pre-order that.

The way I do it is to go onto Princess site. Find the cabin I want. Call Big Box. They place me on hold and call Princess to book it. As far as insurance I usually just go with Big Box so can't answer.

The last cruise we were on, as long as you had clothes on you were pretty much fine. lol

We always just call Big Box. That way they have Princess on the line and can verify in real time what cabins are available.

I haven't seen that for some time.
