  1. For Convenience, Vaccine Passport Can Now Be Tattooed On Your Hand Or Forehead https://babylonbee.com/news/for-convenience-vaccine-passport-can-now-be-tattooed-on-your-hand-or-forehead
  2. Jobs are very important to this administration. Just look at the specific actions that they have initiated to positively impact job growth. Like ... uh ... well ... there was ... uh ... you know, the thing
  3. Infodemic: Rapid and far-reaching spread of both accurate and inaccurate information about something, such as a disease. As facts, rumors, and fears mix and disperse, it becomes difficult to learn essential information about an issue. Covidiot: Someone who ignores health advice about COVID-19, and warnings regarding public health or safety. Vaxhole: A person who intentionally gloats or brags about their vaccination status in order to signal to others their moral superiority. Individuals who display this characteristic have a propensity to also display narcissism. Narcissist: O
  4. Hahahaha. So true. And now it's in print on the Internet. We all know that if it's in print on the Internet, it's undeniably true. Pretty sure most of the recent threads in this forum have been built on that principle.
  5. Don't forget that today's Feast of St Joseph is a Solemnity. And as such, it overshadows the requirement of abstinence from meat on Fridays during lent. "The laws of the Catholic Church provide for the occurrence of Feast Days during Fridays in Lent. Canon 1251 from the 1983 Code of Canon Law addresses this situation: Canon 1251: Abstinence from meat, or from some other food as determined by the Episcopal Conference, is to be observed on all Fridays, unless a solemnity should fall on a Friday. Abstinence and fasting are to be observed on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday." https:/
  6. I second the suggestion to port in and out of San Juan. We flew in on Saturday (early afternoon) and had the rest of that day and all the next day until 3:00pm boarding on Sunday to explore, and we really only saw Old San Juan. Will be going back next January and exploring other areas of San Juan and nearby areas for at least a day before embarkation.
  7. Imagine being the person administering those tests! I picture a person interviewing for that job saying "Well are there any additional perks or benefits that come along with the job?"
  8. Someone gave me a bowl of skittles with a poisonous one? Only a friend would give me a bowl of skittles. I wonder which friend, because that would tell me what kind of poison and quantity is in that one skittle? So, 2.98% of poisonings in 2018 resulted in death. And there's a 1% chance of picking the poisonous skittle. Therefore 0.0298 X 0.01 = 0.000298, which is about three one-hundredths of a percent chance of dying, assuming the poison is of average quantity and effectiveness. I'm OK with playing long odds, but can't really answer your question without knowing which one of my
  9. Yeah, they should definitely require masks to be worn every minute of the day and night while on board or excursion - sleeping, showering, snorkeling, sex - everything. And without question, following the Governor of CA's suggestion of wearing your mask between bites of food would be essential in making everyone's cruise experience a joy. Let's all do our part! https://www.cbsnews.com/news/gavin-newsom-california-face-mask-restaurant/
  10. So a friend asked me "Can you imagine being on a cruise where masks are required? One where Neanderthal anti-maskers who complain about everything and wear their mask with their nose uncovered or worse, hanging below their chin, choose to not sail, and the ship is only filled with people who don't mind wearing their mask properly, and who don't let every damn thing bother them?" I told him, nah, I can't imagine it either. And how rude of you to ask such a question. Rude rude rude.
  11. So @armwinderasked in the original post if we thought other cruise lines would follow the example of Crystal and require a Covid vaccine of all guests. I know you all join me in hoping the next 424 responses are as on-point, helpful and respectful as the last 424. 😝 🙄 😷
  12. Are two masks better than one? I would answer, "It depends". If someone wore two masks that each had a filtration rating of say 20%, would that be as effective as someone with a single N95/R95/P95 which carries a 95% rating? I would argue "No", based on filtration capability. If someone wore two masks very loosely (with obvious gaps) and no real "seal" around the mouth and nose, would it be as effective as someone that wore a single mask of similar filtration rating that was worn with a proper seal? Here I would say "It Depends", but having learned through Occupatio
