That said, because the charge was in error, I think Celebrity should be responsible to pay the difference.

I understood that the difference was very little, but the " issue " was the " principle " of it happening and best to just move on.

( Not as important as our Waiter in 2013 forgetting to bring my 3 shrimp cocktails at the same time ).

Yeah, I was one of your accusers. (you probably remember...) I must not have 'had my coffee' that day.

I don't care how others spend their money (in general) and I later realized that I shouldn't have cared how you chose to spend it.

Hopefully, you will accept my apology for an unwarranted criticism of your personal preference.

First of all-- I don't remember who accused me, and most important--- Absolutely NO apologies necessary.

As for how anyone spends their money, I'm with you 99.9%

What does bother me are the folks that remove the Gratuities--- the Staff work so hard to please us and rely on tips as part of their salary.

    Enjoy all your future cruises.

There are many cruisers on here that will boast about how much they tip.

    " boast " ???

Yea right !! Just because some folks leave a few extra $$ you call that " boasting " ?

Celebrity added the Automatic Gratuities because of folks ( not inferring anyone ) not leaving  anything  --- and I agree 100% with their decision.

    Read post # 58----Ya think that's " boasting " ?????

Thanks. See I am just learning so this is a big help!

Assuming you are not familiar with an IV---- It's a 3 ft extension to the cabin with 2 chairs, a small table and a window that only goes 1/2 way down--- It's not a balcony at all.

LOL-- There have been many "discussions" ( arguments ) on CC about this--- but, no name calling.

If you want to consider that a bribe, feel free. That is not how we intend it and hope it is not how it is being taken.

Absolutely not a bribe and why give it a second thought as to how it is being taken ?

It's just a nice thing to do.

You might have noticed a post or two where I have been accused of bribing a Maitre'd from time to time because he/she helped us get a table in a Specialty restaurant at a time when there appeared to be none available--- ( a few $$ to say " Thanks " ).

Our special lounge always has a balcony, Pinboy🤣.

LOL----" special lounge " ??  And, you are from Vancouver ??   Ummm ??

    I hope I'm not thinking what I'm thinking !!

Ya might get sent to the CC shed for 93 days for that !!

Is there a separate lounge on the E class ships for Elite tier?

No separate lounge for Elite tier ?

LOL--- When we " graduated " (?? ) to Elite a few years ago I thought " Wow, THIS is something special "----- Only to find out that over 90% of the passengers were Elite or higher.

So, the only " separate lounge " for Elite tier passengers is called your stateroom.

We always bring Thank You cards

Excellent idea-- never thought of that.

From now on I won't have to stand in line on the last night at GR to get a few envelopes for additional tips----with the #$%@$%^ removing their Gratuities.

One day I'll post what I " really " think of these people---

( I know, it's not my business---- but, but--- )

I think they’ve go an AI package, so minutes won’t matter. No need to log off to save them.

    LOL--- You are correct !!

Guess who never had an AI package and doesn't know that it includes unlimited WIFI ? ( non-drinkers, don't need much WIFI, and have Gratuities charged to their account every day ).

Guess who was a " regular " at the ILounge for WIFI time " adjustments " for forgetting to Log Off each time ? ( The Staff were very accommodating --- never a problem ).

Since I do not use the wifi, can my son sign in and use my wifi package?

    As noted above--- Yes

    A few tips:

Be sure to tell " whomever ":

Log-Off the WIFI after each use or your WIFI time will be used up very quickly.

To write emails-- Prepare the emails first, then log on, press send and immediately log-off.

To read emails-- Log on, download the emails , log off immediately , then read the emails.

i was a little bit worried after all the negative feedback and I am happy to say that this cruise has been just as good as all of my previous celebrity cruises. Service is top notch.

"I am happy to say that this cruise has been just as good as all of my previous celebrity cruises. Service is top notch".

    Nice to hear--

I've mentioned many times that we never had a bad cruise--- just go with the " flow "--

Ok, on occasion a dish wasn't the " greatest ", so, we ordered something else -- never a problem.

The entertainment/activities ?? What the hell-- sometimes very good, other times not so good-- doesn't spoil the cruise.

The Service has always been excellent.

"after all the negative feedback "---

IMO, some of the negative Threads/Posts are absolute nonsense--- ok, ok, to me.

Sailing solo this time around for the holiday as mom decided to visit some friemds (and I decided a cruise sounded much more enjoyable!)

    Absolutely an excellent review---

    The Royal suite looks magnificent.

The photos of the food, in particular the presentation of same, makes me wonder why there are so many negative comments on CC about it recently. I'll bet it tasted as good as it looks.

LOL----"and I decided a cruise sounded much more enjoyable!" ----- Watch out !! Better hope Mom doesn't see this !!!

You could also transfer $200 to a slot machine then immediately cash out.

On our last cruise ( EDGE ) I turned $XX OBC into cash using that method-- no " service charge " was applied.

FYI--- We are Elite--- a few more cruises to Elite +------ Probably will never get to Zenith +++

S Class area is the nicest!

Agree 100%-- Good size, Great outdoor view , relaxing.

I don't use the cold room--- ( That's why we're on the friggin cruise ).

The only thing that bothers me, and I assume everyone, else are the people that stay " way " over the posted time ( 20-30 minutes ) on the warm lounges either reading or snoring.

LOL---The pretty 40 (??) yr old that asked me if I was cruising solo --- she didn't bother me ---But, what can I say ??

I'm not certain it would be worth paying for whole trip access

Hard to decide for you--but, I usually do.

However, if you purchase a " whole trip access " pass and plan to use it daily or even twice a day, it's probably worth it, rather than a " daily access " pass.

They do tell you that they only sell X amount of " whole trip access " passes, but, I think it's just a pressure tactic.

Here's a " tip "----- Do not accept the " Free Five Minute Massage " outside the Spa or near the pool---It's going to cost you lots of $$$ by the time they are " finished " with you.

They will ask, oops, tell you  " Are YOU aware that your X is, and your Y feels, etc, etc--- But, lucky for you , we have a " Special " for this cruise etc etc ".

$ 357 later you will be bringing a pretty bag back to your room full of beautiful smelling " stuff " which will ,oops, is supposed to, but---doesn't make you look 20 yrs younger.

For a lot of people that’s the point of going on a cruise. 😉

LOL-- Not anymore since Celebrity cut back the " Pineapple treats " OBC to $10 and changed the rules---- You now have to stay the whole night to qualify.

It does not include the visit to the Medical Center to repair your broken nose ----if you get caught.

And, who's going to believe you spent the whole night writing poems in the OVC ?

I know, I know, it's not nice, but have you noticed the demographics of the passengers on Celebrity ships??

I have no need to coordinate with a travel partner which does take some stress out of travel.

"a travel partner which does take some stress " ???

     My " travel partner " ?? Stress ???

LOL--- " You know who " don't give me no stress---

Always there to " guide " me in MY ( yea right ) decisions.

Example--- How was I to know that 3 shrimp cocktails, 2 plates of Beef Wellington followed by 2 Creme Brulé deserts  was not good for me ?

What the hell, I only ate a few vegetables and 1/2 of the mashed potatoes (I'm watching my diet ).

Another example---So, we're sitting at the pool and this beautiful , etc etc--- then a few minutes later I'm sitting by myself ---- That tells me that my eyes are workin !!

Guess who better not read this post ???

I wish they had Murano on Millie.  Although I’ve not tried it yet.

If you have not tried it on any ship, and it's available, try it.

Excellent menu, French service, very relaxing atmosphere, etc.

As good as any upscale restaurant where I'm from.

It's the best of all the Specialty restaurants---( IMO ).

( While we are not suite passengers, I think that suite passengers are permitted to eat there at no extra cost, but, I'm not sure ).

This is a sensitive subject on this board due to a unique situation in which someone was sanctioned for posting employee schedules on a regular basis.

    Really ?? What's wrong with that ?

There are threads very often inquiring  " Who will be on board the XYZ in XYZ "?

( I've posted my thoughts many times ) LOL

Reason-----Never had a bad cruise -- Lucky to be on a cruise---Just go with the flow and don't sweat the small stuff !!

This is pure speculation.  Does anyone care to guess if Equinox will keep the Southern Caribbean cruise in late 2025 / early 2026?

Does anyone know why San Juan was dropped from the Eastern Caribbean itinerary on the Xcel cruises in late 2025 and early 2026?  I believe Apex is scheduled to go there in 2023/2024.

    "Z"---  Wake up !!

We are still in 2023 --

With your " pull " at Celebrity --- email 'em and tell 'em what you want.

And, while you're at it, suggest they add another scoop of gelato to the Elite category .

( True story --- on a recent cruise " you know who " ordered a gelato--- The Server put 2 scoops into a bowl--- and, when I " bragged " that we were ELITE---- she took one scoop out).

I was going to remove the Gratuities, but the line was toooooo long.

Another suggestion ---- Ask Celebrity to post a " Remove Gratuities Here " sign at GR so we/I won't have to wait so long to complain when our Server forgets to bring all 3 shrimp cocktails at the same time.

Noted!  I have been on many cruises and have never ordered it as far as a I can recall.  Now that I am aware...they had BETTER have it on my next cruise in February or someone will hear about it!! 😉

That's THE best dish on board---- not counting the 32 yr old with the " old fart " that we, er, I stared at every time I saw them.

I'll give 200/1 odds that she still has the Rolex he bought her and he only has the memories.

Fine point -- they call it Beef Sirloin En Croute  the French version of Beef Wellington, even though it is probably the same thing.    They sure look the same.

    Not really the same thing.

Beef Wellington is made with tenderloin as opposed to sirloin that they are now serving.

" En Croute " a French name meaning wrapped in a crust--- sounds more expensive adding a French name.
