@TheLargeFamily Yes, such a big part of the experience for me is the balcony…sitting and listening to the ocean at night (often with a pizza snack!), on the balcony when we are in port for photos; on the balcony when we leave port, pier runners….just love it. Some of our family just liked to sit out on their balcony drinking wine. My husband hardly ever steps out on the balcony; my son was in an interior and loved it! He said “I’ve got this big beautiful ship to sit outside on and look at the ocean; I don’t need a balcony.” Did see a couple runners but it was a tad disappointing (must have had a late excursion coming in, because people were slowly ambling in at 3:45 with a 3:30 All Aboard time! The Jubilee has such a great connection with the sea; you’ll be fine without the balcony!

We’re sitting in the United Club Lounge in the middle of our long travel day heading home. Hoped to treat some of the kids to the lounge but everyone left from a different terminal—A, B, C and E! Two also left from Hobby (we are at IAH). All the kids were making jokes about hiding on the ship so they didn’t have to leave, so suffice it to say that we have a new generation of cruisers in the family! In fact, all 5 of the new cruisers want to do it again! Everyone loved it. My last day was a whirlwind…ran out of time and had to fit lots in that last day!

How nice to be able to do a B2B to have some time after the family leaves! The philosophy worked well. I generally did what the group was interested in doing (which is why I was a the Bars so much more on this trip; 6 out of 9 were “drinkers” since hubby doesn’t drink, we normally do the Alchemy Bar for some Lyres N/A drinks and that is about it. This trip we did some Alchemy Bar, but tons of time at Dr. Inks and also time at the Farenheit 555 Bar (they make a most excellent Lemon Drop Martini…the Martini’s in general there were great). We had trivia people on this cruise, very sporty//adventurous people, piano bar people…all things I don’t generally do a ton of when I cruise but enjoyed very much on this cruise!

Today was pretty much a whirlwind—we celebrated my Goddaughter’s birthday which was today, and it’s past 1am and I just got back to my room! The short version is: Got back from our excursions and diving. I have more info and photos I want to pass on to y’all about that but it will have to wait till tomorrow. Got a quick Street Eats, then sat on my balcony looking directly at the Carnival Breeze and watching for pier runners (LOTS of people got back to the ship past the All Aboard time, but just a few runners). Then I needed to do my ship tours for my channel while everyone else rested. I used to think that I was the Energizer Bunny, then I met Kyndall Fire! 😂 Drinks at the Alchemy Bar tonight, then Farenheit 555 for a lovely (and caloric) dinner. Then I had to run up to Guest Services because somehow the print on my Sail & Sign Card got mostly melted away (smeared away?) during the excursion. Then off to the Piano Bar! Ben Gentry is hilarious and really knows how to work a crowd! I’m not a huge fan of the “Sweet Caroline//Piano Man” variety of Piano Bar players, and this guy is NOT that. Knows how to work a crowd too. My Goddaughter was sung a raunchy song for her birthday, and also actual Happy Birthday. We had fun. Late Comedy Showcase was next, and unfortunately Dylan was ill so we only had Tim Young. Then Casino for just a bit till bed. YAWN. But sleeping in tomorrow!

Also…need to warn everyone about the weird new digital disembarkation procedure where you pick either express (no assistance with luggage) or assisted luggage disembarkation in the Carnival app; 3 days before the end of the cruise. Evidently Kyndall Fire made an announcement about it (no one in our group was out and about or opened our door to hear it) and then we got a pop up in the ship app about it. When we finally looked at this in the app this evening, it said that ALL assisted time slots were taken and you could only pick Express! I’m not lugging my giant suitcase all over the ship! It seems ridiculous…too many people can NOT take all their luggage off the ship-old people, disabled, people with extra luggage… We went to guest services and we now have the 9:45-10am disembarkation we wanted. I must be mis-understanding the process somehow; the ship simply cannot put a cap on Assisted Luggage Disembarkation slots. I am going to attend the Disembarkation Talk on Friday to get more information. This is what we now have in the app after talking with guest services:

OK, we sort of accomplished all that! Deal or No Deal was PACKED for the 7:30 show—we found seats up on 8. Kyndall Fire was the host. I won a $25 Bingo package as did my son. I walked by the late show and there were many more seats available; Gabby from the Fun Squad was the host. Made it to the comedy show; Dylan Vattelana. He was quite funny; not as raunchy as Tim Young. Did NOT make it to the Rock N’Glow party. I was so tired! I must be getting old; I never miss a deck party. I did end up in the casino. Not a winning night…played one of those Buffalo machines. There is an entire ROOM of Buffalo machines in the Jubilee casino. ANd YES you can hear the game announcements in there if you are on a gamblng cruise. Was up then down then up then way down. Still up for the week though. I have an EARLY morning call tomorrow; back on ship is 3:30 so everyone is having an early excursion or activiity.

A pure Fun in the Sun day indeed! @TheLargeFamily I don’t know for sure RE walk ins for the Dolphin Experience BUT on their website (they call themselves Dolphin Discovery) it says you can get a discount for booking 4 days in advance, so it sounds like you can. You can also book directly with them online. Tomorrow I’ll be at Passion Island Beach. Son is coming with me…he by Twister, since the slow boat is sold out BUT we are going to check in early because out of the 3 Carnival owned ships, the excursion desk said that it would be likely there is at least 1 no-show. We have 5 scuba diving and 2 taking e bikes.

We all split up for dinner! One couple did MDR (best for Vegan) four went to the sushi restaurant and three of us had dinner at Emeril’s. What a feast we ended up ordering lots of little plates to share, and my son bought the Steve lobster for my birthday which was last week. It was excellent! Emeril’s is a paid restaurant with reasonable prices. Most small plates are $5. The lobster was $30.

back on the ship! Just was at Street Eats for a snack; got the Beef Bulgogi FRESH off the grill and wow was that delicious! Also had the Sesame Chicken Wontons. Did not try the pulled pork tater tots, as I need to save space for dinner! Also sort of fasted earlier in the day, so was hungry! Now I’m on my balcony; shady and lovely out here, watching everyone stream back onto Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas. TOTALLY missed the Norwegian Joy leave port as I was watching the chef cook the beef bulgogi and didn’t hear the ship horn over the lido music.
