  1. I do as well. I just wish they offered realtime tracking for all ships as a monthly fee as opposed to the fee for just one ship for 24 hours, especially since it is a paid app to begin with.
  2. Now I don’t want to get into a political debate (Trump vs Biden), however I wonder if a change of administration will adversely affect the return to cruising. The current administration is pro business, and seems to be butting heads with the CDC all the time, in particular, cruising, if you believe what has been reported. Plus since Democrats tend to be a little less “business friendly”, and they are pushing for more controls and restrictions (as far as COVID-19 is concerned), will this really drag out the return to cruising into mid 2021 or further? Assuming there are no finalized plans by
  3. Mardi Gras in April 2022 for me. We are in an Excel Aft Suite, so I can’t wait for information to come out in the next couple of months. I really dislike those artist renders, I prefer the real deal. Hopefully I Like Cruise Ships on youtube will have some cabin tours, since they typically have some ship/cabin tours before they take on guests.
  4. Very sad. Our first cruise was on the Fantasy, second was the Monarch, and our third was on the Sovereign. All were back between 1996-1998.
  5. Which is why it would be probably be mostly the ships crew. However, wan’t it mentioned in the document, that people can’t be forced to volunteer? So I wonder if that applies to employees, or if their contract overrides that. I wonder if a cruise line could get away with that, by just sailing with a full crew and no one else, and have them perform the tests as a function of their job.
  6. I know they probably wouldn’t do it, but if they offered C&A points... Free cruise + C&A points = sign me up! 👍
  7. Makes sense since there will be a lot of changes forthcoming. My travel agent mentioned they were told in a Royal Caribbean webinar that is was 30 days, so who knows. 🤷‍♂️
  8. I am hoping we will sail, but I am really starting to think January is a no go. So I ended up booking a B2B on the Mariner in December ‘21. It’s amazing how ridiculous pricing has gotten for suites, if there is even availability.
  9. I agree! The sooner the better. I would like to rebook before the rates get ridiculous, especially as to not miss out on the double points offer. Just as an example about rates, I booked an inside guarantee on the Brilliance of the Seas for Feb 25, 2021 in an inside guarantee for $450, now that same sailing and category is $1650!
  10. Any one else having this issue? I have a B2B on the Mariner (18th-25th), and last week I was able to start the check in process, then I came back on Friday to finish the one and start the second, but it tells me that check-in is no longer available for both. I tried Friday, Saturday and today, no change.
  11. Has anyone else noticed that check in is no longer working for January? I have that B2B on the Mariner (18th-25th), and last week I was able to start the check in process and I came back on Friday to finish the one and start the second, but it tells me that check-in is no longer available for both. I tried Friday, Saturday and today, no change.
  12. Awesome! We are on the sailing leaving on the 27th, in what is currently the Spa Junior Suite, but reclassified as just a Junior Suite when it comes over to the US. 👍 My wife and I have never been on an Alaska cruise, so we are really excited. Of all the cruises we have booked next year, this is THE ONE we don’t want cancelled.
  13. From Harr Travel (youtube.com). Starts talking about the deployment schedule at the 2:35 mark. They state, and seem to think that the deployment dates will be into 2023. They seem to be well regarded by RCL, so maybe they know something others don't? 🤷‍♂️
  14. Assuming none of my cruises cancel, I will go from Gold to Diamond by September 2021. I have five booked, but four have me worried. The four that worry me are a B2B on the Mariner in January, Brilliance in February (rate is so ridiculously low I hope they don't bump me off due to capacity restrictions, assuming they implement them), and an Alaska cruise on the Quantum in September.
  15. Sorry, I didn't hyperlink it in the post... https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/topics/crown-and-anchor-society-double-points-offer
