Thank you, @crusin7 for sharing this with us. I was to go on this cruise, but opted out before Final Payment in favor of an Alaskan cruise on Qn. Elizbeth, late this past June.
I had planned to go back to work after that cruise, so leaving for Europe at the start of US holiday season was off the table. I promised myself that if I wasn't employed by November, then I'll book a World Cruise on the Qn. Mary 2 for 2024. I got a job in October. 🤷🏿♂️
I am planning a Regent cruise for 2024 however, just still researching where and when.
Cheers!

I my first Cunard cruise aboard Qn. Elizabeth I can say there was dancing every evening in the Queens Room - ballroom style or just dancing to whatever music they played. There was an orchestra and other nights a DJ of sorts, if recall. I can't really dance, but attended both Galas and the dancing was nice and there was an orchestra at both events. There was even a professional dance couple of night - they were fantastic!

When I sailed on Qn. Elizabeth (for reference: 10 day Alaska, Vancouver roundtrip, in late June) I dined in both The Verandah and Steakhouse at The Verandah solo (lunch & dinner, resp.), and both times I was seated at a table by myself. I did reserve online ahead of time, but the cruise wasn't even at full capacity. The only time it was "crowded" was during the Steakhouse.

I was attempting to book a full world voyage aboard Queen Mary 2 in a Queen's Grill, when I got the final booking page, I noticed that there was only the option to add pre and post Airport/Port transfers.
There was no option for pre-cruise hotels.
I would ask Cunard directly, but I wanted to hear from someone who has had prior experience first.
Is this normal for world voyages? Is it specific to the category, or the ship?
Thank you.

For an upcoming sailing on QE My Cunard is showing options to purchase 2 hour slots. Is it likely that there will be an option to purchase a multi-day pass once onboard?
ThanksI purchased three 2 hour passes to the The Aqua Therapy Center (35$ each); I do not actually recall an option for multiday passes. I think the last time I called Cunard, I was told during the conversation that a multiday pass would be available once onboard, I think. I was calling for something else, so I would have to call back to re-confirm that.

Hello,
I am on the Q321 Queen Elizabeth sailing (June 20 - 30); there is a Gala Night on the first sea day themed for Icey Blue. I only have a black tuxedo and don't really want to buy a white and/or blue one. Searching for pictures of ideas was not productive.
Can I have some suggestions as to how I can participate without buying a new tuxedo?
Thanks! 🤗

I actually meant Icey WHITE. I did buy a blue bow, lapel rose and cufflinks; even got my mask!
Thanks!! 😊

I believe I will go with the one twin bed (placed sideways), so I can have more walking space within my stateroom.
Thank you! 🤗

I searched and didn't find this topic: are the Queen Elizabeth's King Beds actual King beds, or are they two Twin beds pushed together?
Thank you! 😄

I too do not want to experience a smart phone centered voyage like many of us on these boards have already made clear.
Yes, this what I particularly find annoying about "the future of cruising" and smartphone apps.
One is supposed to be off the grid, somewhat.
Unless, I'm taking pictures, my phone is my room.

Cards are:
Easy to get misplaced/lost (especially on an excursion)
Annoying to dig out of a wallet/handbag for each drink or purchase
Finding the right pocket for it is a pain
Remembering where to put it every night is a challenge
My card was annoying to have on me at all times - including locking myself out of my stateroom!
That's why I find wearing a lanyard accommodating.
On my NCL cruise a lanyard was included in my photo package, but didn't know (and was never told) I could get it as soon as got onboard; so I forgot about it and didn't actually use it until day 12 or so of the cruise.

Since you are just purchasing for one, I should think you would do better just buying what you want instead of a package which covers for two.
Oooh 🤔, it never occured to me that it was intended for two people. 🤷🏿♂️
Thanks @naturelovergirl! 🖐🏿️

Hello!
Regarding The Luxury Celebration Package (500$), is this a good value? Would buying the included items separately (robe, slippers, picture, Laurent Perrier Cuvée Brut NV, champagne flutes, flowers, breakfast in bed, & dinner in the Steakhouse) be a better value?
Thanks - I'm on the fence about this.
I wanna a nice treat for myself; but don't want to overdo it, like I did on NCL Bliss last year - that cake was too big for 1 person! 🍰😆
ps: I miss using Comic Sans! 📣

For Alaska this year we are planning for late seating since we will be active in the ports and want to be on deck or on our balcony for sail-aways and scenery.
This is why I was considering late dining.

The time it takes to have a beautiful meal has zero to do with the age of the passengers.
It is not a quick service meal- and nor should it be.
Yeah, I didn't get that either. It seems they were suggesting that older people take longer to eat or it's REALLY crowded...but I never got a straight answer. People on Cruiseline/Shipmate really like to fuss about silly things.

Thanks. That helps. I forgot I asked this question before.
But these are the actual answers I needed.
Can I change it if one does not suit over the other?

I'll be boarding Queen Elizabeth in June, and I would like insight into the dining times.
What time is Early Dining (First Sitting) and Late Dining (Second Sitting)? I chose this so I wouldn't miss any shows I want to see.
I heard from some on Cruiseline/Shipmate (the few that sail on Cunard), that it appears to be a hassle or impossible, but no one explains why.
Most seem to blame the "old people".
Can I have insight on the dining experience with Cunard with regard to Dining Times (1st & 2nd [& 3rd] Sittings), please?
Also, does one who chooses Open Dining often wait a bit longer to be seated?
Thank you.

You get instant coffee in the Britannia grade cabins.

Thank you for the question.
I often wondered how this would work, as I travel solo wishing I had a cruise partner.

Is there any explanation as to why this being done?
I have noticed that MANY online sites are abandoning usernames and requiring e-mail only logins.
I really prefer a username login.

wouldn’t call it a scam, even in inverted commas. There is nothing dishonest about it.
The 'scam' was referring to what I've seen on other lines, where in fact, they do charge very different prices for the exact same cabin, based simply on where it's located. But, I've come to accept that is a practice that all the cruise lines share.
On my current sailing there is 2000$ difference in price just for a few extra perks for Balcony staterooms that have the same layout.
Thanks for the insight.
-
Hmm? While booking my cruise on Queen Elizabeth (QE) they had two hour blocks per reservation (35$ each reservation). I had a full/unlimited Spa pass NCL Bliss, I didn't find anything similar for QE.
-
What are the real differences between Britannia Balcony and Britannia Club Balcony?
I did hear that you get you own dining room; is this the only perk?
Is it just another category "scam" to charge more for the same stateroom?

Awww, poop! For what they charge Regent should supply REAL King Size beds, and use REAL Single or Twin sizes. Cheeep!
Do they only put the REAL King in the Regent Suite???
