  1. I wonder if there may be some way to arrange small group tours for the less physically able. I have been on m many tour when I was was with my aunt or my wife trying to keep track of the guide who was off at three to four miles an hour and my companions who were going at one mile an hour. I know that the tours might need to miss some locations but it would be nice to not have the feeling that you were delaying the tour.
  2. I know that the system did this when I signed up for a 2020 cruise, which was cancelled. I am not sure if it did this in 2019.
  3. As far as the vaccinations go, be sure to to let those who are telling you what is needed know what you are doing. There is a big difference on what is needed if you live and eat on a cruise ship and just make limited trips off to living on shore with the local people away from the cities. In February I was told that there was no current requirement for even Yellow Fever for the planned cruise up the Amazon in 2022, I am continuing to check with my doctor what is suggested.
  4. To get away from the current problems, remember the good times in the past and to look to better times in the future, I ask what was your favorite cruise? Mine was on the Voyager in 2010 from Copenhagen to Copenhagen along the coast of Norway all the way to Spitsbergen. The ship was comfortable, the weather was cool (the summer before I had been in the Med with near one hundred degree high humidity), the country of Norway was clean a beautiful, and the guides were all easy to understand.

  6. I try to do back to back cruises. I was scheduled to go around the Bay of Biscay and then around the British Isles in April 2020 on the Explorer and then Lima to Rio on the Voyager in February 2021. I used the FCC To go from Santiago to Miami in February 2022, with the permission of the governments.
  7. I have to try Venice again at a better time of year. I was last there during the summer of 2009 with my wife, sister and aunt. My aunt had some difficulty keeping up with the tour guide while going up and down the steps on the bridges in one hundred degree heat. I wonder if there is a way to request ability grouped tours so that those who can not move quickly could do the tour and maybe see a little less along with the others who are not up to a jog though the streets.
  8. I know people who can make all the "COVID passports" you want.
  9. The card issued by the CDC is not secure in the least, it can not be trusted as proof of anything. You can possibly come up with a system where you could request a match with the CDC records, but that would be rather difficult. Most likely the question will be added to the useless health statement we have had to fill out ever since the Ebola scare. You are responsible for your own health and must decide what risks you will take.
  10. I would add Lobster Thermidor to the special night's menu along with the Beef Wellington, but I remember this meal being near the end of each leg of the cruise, maybe following the Captain's farewell and Crew Capers.
  11. I agree that I o not wish to send out my socks and underwear. I have eleven months time to hope that things return to normal with the self service laundry, if not I will pack a small container of detergent and do them by hand a little each day.
  12. My last cruise was in 2019 and was the last segment of a world cruise, some of the world cruisers suggested to fellow passengers to trade in their Regent points for insulated cups and then give them to their room stewards/stewardesses since this allowed them to bring drinks back to their rooms. I am not sure if this was needed but it was suggested by people who had spent months listing to crew members. You may find other ways such as this to show your appreciation.
  13. You can go to the Regent listing for the cruise you want and then under the Itinerary click on the port to see the common tours at that port. These are what have been offered in the past and may not be offered for your cruise. The actual shore tours will come out when you are permitted to sign up for them, for me that is about a year prior to the cruise. You may wish to sign up for the tours soon after you are allowed to since some tours fill up quickly. You can turn in exiosting tours and sign up for other tours once you are on the ship, but you may end up on a waiting list.
  14. I would not worry about the size of the tour group, the largest group I can recall was around twenty, but if you are going to a popular location there may be many other tour groups. I also agree that that I do not look forward to shopping time, but most of the shopping spots are in an area where you can wander and see the sights of the area. I have only been on a few tours where you went to one store with no other choices and these tended to be chosen to allow access to restrooms.
  15. My last cruise was in 2019, the 2020 and 2021 cruises were cancelled. I linked up through the Single & Social program. My cruise was the last segments of a world cruise so i was able to meet several of the world cruisers, but as part of this group we met most of the special entertainers. This caused me to attend several shows which I normally would not have gone to, this included skipping a desert or two to be on time for the show. There are opportunities outside of the Single & Social group to meet the various entertainers and lecturers, but the Single & Social group is one of
