NCL Sun cruises disappeared after March 2025
craig01020 replied to Ulsteinvik's topic in Norwegian Cruise Line
Just got mine: Dear Valued Guests and Travel Partners, We are delighted that you've chosen to sail Norwegian for your upcoming cruise vacation on board Norwegian Sun and we thank you for your loyalty. As a company, we are committed to providing exceptional vacation experiences, both aboard our ships and by taking our guests to some of the most sought-out destinations around the world. As a result of a fleet redeployment, Norwegian Sun's sailings from March 28, 2025 through and including November 3, 2025 have been canceled. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask our Travel Partners to please share this information with impacted guests. A full monetary refund of the fare paid will be automatically returned to the form of payment provided at the time of reservation. No further action is required; your refund will be automatically processed within 30 business days. You will see the refund returned to the original form of payment in seven to 10 business days from the processed date. The visibility of the funds is dependent on each financial institution's internal policies. For those reservations paid via a previously issued Future Cruise Credit (FCC), 100% of the FCC used will be automatically re-applied to your Latitudes account within ten days of the cancelation date. No further action is required. In addition, we have issued a 10% discount in the form of an FCC to be used towards any of our published sailings from November 20, 2023 through December 31, 2025. The FCC will be available for use on December 11, 2023. Should you wish to sail on a similar itinerary to the one you originally booked, Norwegian Sky will offer select voyages to Asia, the Middle East, and Europe from March through November in 2025. Our dedicated team is available to help you rebook your dream vacation when you are ready. Please contact us at 1-800-327-7030 or call your travel professional to get started. To apply the above-mentioned FCC towards rebooking your vacation on Norwegian Sky, you may book your cruise now and have the FCC applied to your reservation once it becomes available on December 11, 2023, by contacting us directly at the phone number listed above or by contacting your travel professional. Guests residing outside of the U.S. or Canada should visit www.ncl.com for local contact information. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and look forward to welcoming you aboard very soon. Sincerely, Norwegian Cruise Line -

Did the cancellation notice give a reason? I imagine I'll be getting one of those soon. -

Me too, but I'm not very optimistic. I don't think we would be getting FCC if it was just a ship swap. -
I discovered this on a recent Breakaway cruise: when my NCL shore excursion was cancelled, they wouldn't refund my credit card. Instead, I was told I had to go to Guest Services the last day of the cruise and get my refund in cash, which I did. So stupid. Now I never pre-pay gratuities in case an excursion is cancelled. The credit will just get applied to the gratuities instead of waiting in line for cash.

Thanks. 11:45 am is the latest flight offered by Southwest for SEA-BDL. I bought refundable tickets so I can change or cancel if needed. -
Hello all. My August Alaska cruise is scheduled to return to Seattle at 6 a.m. Is it realistic to book an 11:45 am flight home from SEA? Thanks.

What’s so “fun” about Carnival?

I've heard that breakfast is complimentary on Johnny Rockets, but haven't verified that. -
Are "October Savings Sale" rates refundable?
craig01020 replied to craig01020's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I saw the September sale too, but the difference is when I clicked "Terms & Conditions" for the September sale, it said "Refundable deposit...". 🤔 -
I always book with rate code PB4 which has always been refundable. That code is now called "October Savings Sale", but the fine print does not include the word "refundable". I'm assuming it is, because there are no other refundable rates.

Cruise lines have no problem leaving you behind if you're late returning from a port of call. -

Yes, if they are traveling without a passport and their birth certificate has a different last name. -
Travel documents while passport is being renewed?
craig01020 replied to craig01020's topic in Ask a Cruise Question
Not really. We've got 5 cruises booked next year. If it was my passport expiring it would be simple because my name matches my birth certificate. -
Travel documents while passport is being renewed?
craig01020 posted a topic in Ask a Cruise Question
My wife's passport will be expiring next year, which means we'll most likely need to travel on one cruise without her passport. It's a closed-loop US cruise. I understand she'll need her official birth certificate. Because her last name has changed, I assume we'll need to bring a marriage certificate too. Because this is our second marriage, I imagine she'll need her first marriage certificate as well. Will she also need proof of divorce? Our marriage certificate is from a foreign country (Anguilla). Will that be an issue? I may be making this more complicated than I need to, but my biggest fear is having a cruise agent refuse us at the embarkation port. Thanks all.
