  1. I think you hit the nail on the head! They should try one of the lines that still have kids clubs open? I can not imagine it is fun for the kids during this time. I would wait.
  2. We are offered a free interior on Sunshine. Personally never stayed inside? Basically all other catergories are a lot more. Kinda want to take advantage of my offer. I like deck 5? Any other thoughts? Pretty much only 5-9 or the lower decks?
  3. Just off RCL. My son, 18, wore shorts and a button down on formal night? Honestly, they now call it dress your best. Plus no buffet for dinner so they have to be flexible!
  4. I live in NC. My oldest is a Freshman at a State University. It is a requirement to either submit a negative test or be vaccinated at most of the universtites and colleges for in person classes and living in dorms. They also will be tested 1 time a week. They are not paying or providing the test to return to campuses. I am in a parent Facebook group and people are driving an hour to find tests. Hopefully once all the schools are back testing will be back to normal. I am actually so glad my son is vaccinated and got to skip this!
  5. Johnson and Johnson is the only 1 dose shot. It is the easiest and shortest timeframe if you are in a crunch. It is not approved for under 18 or in Canada so it is not an option for those groups. I do think they are discussing a booster?
  6. They are requiring all college students in the UNC system to get tested or submit vaccinations before returning to campus. I’m on a parent Facebook group and they are driving over a hour to find tests.i think it is just a perfect storm of more tests needed right now. It should slow down when all universities back.
  7. Florida has not stopped airlines from asking if the destination requires it. This has been since the beginnig. Why would they stop a ship with a destination that requires?
  8. Just because the US is only 50 percent vaccine ready does not corelate to the rest of the world. Yellow fever is not required here but if you go to certain countries it is. We are only 1 country. We can not require but others can,
  9. foreign goverments have gotten vaccine data for years. like the yellow fever vaccine requirement?
  10. As far as them putting testing on the consumer, I heard it is because of the bottom line? Most people in the US can get free testing. The money crunchers have figured out that they can push that to the consumer to save money, Plain and simple for them. More complicated for us!
  11. This is no different than airlines asking, They have been every day even since the new Florida law. They are required to check for yellow fever or Covid test resulsts or vaccine status before allowing someone to board. They can not fly you there because you would be denied entry. Honestly Cruiseships are bound to the countries/teritories laws. The USVI already did this and RCL had to refund money.

  13. You need to understand that Florida state laws have no bearing on Foreign countries requirements. Airlines have been requiring vaccine documents for travel from all the Florida airports. They are exempt because they can not transport somewhere they can not debark. This has been the case with all required vaccines forever ie yellow fever. Cruiselines are now all in the same boat.
  14. Here is the thing. RCL has sent Covid postive patients home on private planes. This is for vaccinated guests but unvaccinated have to have insurance. Michael Bayley the CEO. even committed to this on Facebook on August 16. Personally seems Carnival should just require the insurance for all if they are not not going to do anything for the vacciinated. I realize we have no idea if this would have made a difference but maybe she would have reached out for treeatment earlier if she was assured to get home?
  15. The bahamas is requiring it now! Even for private islands.
