so Regent will not allow my cabinmate to use Regent air unless I do as well. I could have used frequent flyer miles for my ticket, but now I'll have to buy Regent air since my cabinmate doesn't have miles for a ticket. Bad policy from Regent.

Regent advised that only my cabin mate who buys Regent air gets airport transfer, and not me since I'm not buying Regent air. Wonder what would happen if I try to get in the Regent provided car with my cabin mate? LOL

We're both first time cruisers, but staying in penthouse suite on Navigator, if any of this matters.

As I am using frequent flyer miles for the air to get to and from our Regent cruise, but my cabin-mate is using Regent air, will Regent allow me to transfer with my cabin mate to/from airport/hotel/ship? Thanks for any information.

So Regent finally responded. Deviation really just means being told ahead of time, instead of just before the cruise starts, what flight Regent offers.

And and each time, you have to put different Regent luggage tags on?

Thanks for the reports. Question-I'm confused about Regent luggage tags given at the hotel v port I am staying a precruise night at a Regent hotel. Doesn't our luggage travel with us from the hotel to the port? It seems otherwise according to Gilly's email. Please explain, as I expect us to be in a similar predicament with only being given port luggage tags. Thanks.

thanks to those who have responded. I, and my cabinmate for whom I paid, have trip insurance. I will still want to go on the cruise if my cabinmate cannot, but would bring another friend instead. It's just a name change and would think Regent would be fine with that. My TA is trying to learn what Regent would do if I have to change my cabinmate. I'd appreciate any more insight or success stories in changing my cabinmate. Thanks in advance.

I am fully paying for my cabinmate and me on a Regent cruise. If my cabinmate is unable to travel, how do I simply change the name of my cabinmate on the reservation? Is there any charge by Regent to change the name of my cabinmate? Thanks in advance for your answers.

On Navigator, what restaurants require reservations? I thought it was only Prime 7. If only Prime 7 requires reservations, do passengers still make pre-cruise reservations at other restaurants and why? thanks for answering a first time Regent cruiser's questions.

I am traveling with my mother who can walk a bit with a cane, but will need a wheelchair for excursions. She has never had a wheelchair, but now needs one. Can you recommend a company in Miami who would deliver a wheelchair to us at the hotel or Regent cabin? As the cruise ends in Barbados, how would we get the wheelchair back to the Miami rental company? I presume others have encountered a similar situation and would like advice as my mother now needs mobility assistance. Thanks for your help.

I have twice requested Regent to provide custom (deviation) air, and have only received an auto response that Regent is busy and will respond. How long does it usually take Regent to respond?

Hmm. thanks for your response. That's only a 4 star hotel. I thought only 5 star hotels are used.

I'm booked on an 11 day cruise on Navigator. I understand I can make one dinner reservation at each restaurant in advance, correct? If I want to eat multiple times at a particular restaurant that requires reservations (Prime 7), will I be able to book additional reservations once onboard? In order to increase my chances of being able to book multiple times at a particular restaurant, when is it best to book in advance my one reservation? Toward the end of the cruise, or beginning, or does it make any difference? Thanks to you experienced Regent voyagers.

What hotel(s) does Regent use for pre-cruise night? We're in a penthouse on Navigator if that makes a difference. Thanks.
