  1. Based on tracking it looks like the last stop in Melbourne was at Station Pier.
  2. They did 13 ships, not all: https://www.nclhltd.com/news-media/press-releases/detail/458/norwegian-cruise-line-holdings-completes-multi-year#:~:text=MIAMI%2C Dec. 13%2C 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Norwegian,of EGCS onboard Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway
  3. I don't recall any such noise. We were seated indoors and I believe there is an outdoor section so I guess it's possible that you might hear the karts there.
  4. I can't recall exactly what we had, but I know that we liked it. My wife is strongly anti-seafood but I don't think she had any problems getting the filet mignon. Apart from the food Palomar stood out for the spaciousness. Part of that is probably because it has great sea views, but it also seemed like the tables were just spaced out more than at Cagney's and Onda.
  5. You can also order a couple of house wines through the tablets. Not sure about beer.
  6. That's not necessarily the case, at least any longer. We had to go to a few bars to find one that could make a mojito. It really depends on the ingredients.
  7. Just so I am clear (since I hope to be in Australia and New Zealand next year) by 'no tipping' are we referring specifically to the American(?) practice of paying service workers 'sub-minimum' wages and expecting tips to make up the difference? Is it 'okay' to give a tip for exceptional service?
  8. I think the answer is that you get whatever the fare class that NCL purchases for you allows. For the price you pay that is almost certainly economy or even basic economy, so for most US domestic flights I would not expect a bag to be included. I believe that international more often does include a checked bag. I don't know about other countries.
  9. Does anyone who took this cruise recently or has it upcoming recall how far in advance NCL started offering shore excursions?
  10. I'm not sure, but April/May are on the fringe of the traditional Alaska season. They are coming up fairly soon and maybe they are not selling so well and prices have been reduced. They probably would not do anything with 2024 yet.
  11. Not thrilled? If there is any bad weather between Florida and NYC you might be very glad to have that 3-hour layover.
  12. The T&Cs for the BOGO airfare do state that FLL may be used for Miami cruises. As far as I know the jetBlue rules are similar to what most of the legacy airlines are using now within the same fare category. For example jetBlue BlueBasic is pretty comparable to United Basic Economy.
  13. But was that really based on forum outrage, or did this forum just reflect the consensus of other feedback that NCL might pay more attention to?
  14. I think the cumulative effect of most discussions on this forum is pretty much a net zero.
  15. I would be very surprised if you can't get whatever combination you want. They certainly are holding the pasta and sauces separately so what would be the point in not allowing different combos? That's just more potential for waste.
  16. I doubt there is enough consistency for that to work well. It's probably like you serve 75 Beef Wellington some nights and 125 other nights. Unfortunately they probably could not come up with a Sustainable cocktail based on leftover Wellingtons... 😉
  17. What are we talking about here? I certainly would not ladle curry into a bag to take away, but how is taking away some cookies or fruit really different from asking a restaurant to give you your dessert to go? If it's just the look of it why not bring some sort of small generic bag and put your ziplocks in that?
  18. I really liked the Sustainable Mai Tai. All About that Basil was good also.
  19. Yes, sorry I was vague - I was referring to the thermal suite, although the Vibe does also meet some of your criteria. I would not judge the Vibe sales by how many people you see. We were on the Prima recently and I don't think we ever saw more than 10-12 people but it was sold out.
  20. I wouldn't count on it when they already have pretty much that and people are willing to pay extra for it... 😏
  21. I don't believe there have been any 'massive housekeeping cutbacks' at this time. Anyway, they don't hold boarding until all of the rooms are clean...
  22. We spent most of our time in the Vibe where they had some interesting mocktails on the menu, but I don't recall anything similar to a pina colada. I think the Local or one of the outdoor bars might be your best bet for something like that.
