  2. My girlfriend's son-in-law can drink a 12 pack of beer and not even been fazed. But then he is 6 foot 6 and 300 pounds.
  3. Nice, I'm just minutes away from the port of Galveston but no way would I take one of those. I'd have to come home and be put in traction for a month as the beds on Carnival are horrible.
  4. Come on this is Cruise Critic, that would never happen here. But my 40 plus years as a paramedic in a large 911 system deaths under certain ages unless known chronic medical issues always cause suspicion.
  5. Age is reported to be 37. While heart attacks and strokes happen at that age they are not very common. Probably why the FBI is investigating.
  6. There will probably be chair hog threads into the next century.
  7. I'm willing to be about 0.0001 percent of Carnival cruisers on CC.
  8. 3 bars, each could not make a simple Daiquiri, hard to make a Daiquiri when the bars do not have simple syrup to put in the drink. Straight up and and straight up lime juice does not make for a tasty Daiquiri. That is a Carnival training issue. Cut of meat that are mostly fat is a Carnival issue, not simply liking the meal.
  9. Well next fall Galveston gets the Jubilee, we won't be sailing on it.
  10. Royal is sending one of their Oasis class ships to run & day cruises out of Galveston. If they leave one of their smaller ships here we might try a RC cruise.
  11. With Carnival trying the sell 1.25 Billion in bonds to pay the bills I doubt that will happen.
  12. Yes, they busted several on the Mardi Last week blazing it up. I smoke it myself, but not on the cruise ship.My momma raised an idiot, but not a total idiot.
  13. Tried one there, they did not put any simple syrup in it, nor the Havana Bar nor the Brass Magonlia.
  14. The thing about that movie was the experience of the crowd and the people that cosplayed as the characters in the movie. Plus you need to be baked to watch it, can't do that on a cruise ship.
  15. Did a sea day brunch last week on the Mardi Gras, 46 minutes to get our food.
  16. Idiocracy because it's gone from a comedy to a documentary.
  17. Yes, my girlfriend started coming down with it Thursday night on the cruise, stay in the cabin on Friday and gave it to me on drive home. She is still affected by it, mine lasted two days. She saw niece yesterday who is a NP and was COVID negative also.
  18. Just get a classic daiquiri. Carnival has no idea that simple syrup is supposed to go in it. They just put rum and lime juice, Very tart drink for sure.
  19. I asked them to put simple syrup in it and they did not have any to put in it.
  20. We had an 1k mile drive too. Was a long and painful drive because Carnivals beds do not agree with my back.
  21. Carnival does do a good job of the Military Appreciation. I did not get to it on my Mardi Gras cuz I was day drinking that day.
  22. In the mid 2000's we actually had to destroy the box on one of our ambulances. Maintenance sent me the video of them cutting it open with a saw a thousand's of roaches running out from between the inner and outer walls of the box.
  23. It's 12 "soda's" so I would think so. They didn't even look in our carryon bag in Port Canaveral last week, just ran it trough the x ray and off we went.
  24. It's not free, it's part of your cruise fare. When you spend $2,000.00 or more on a cruise you should not have expect fatty cuts of meat.
  25. There are tons of very reputable dive operation in Cozumel. Has to be better than the cattle call diving run through the ships.
