but ours was Callum and I have to say, apart from being a charming chap, he really was very approachable but more important, capable and if he said he'd either pass things on or sort something out [which he did for us on both trips on Anne]
Callum is fantastic. He actually thanked me for my positive comments online when I left in July, so I think he or at least someone else definitely reads these boards. Either that or my comments were seen on another social media site.

options have changed here so hopefully will be joining you for the first half of 2025.
Would be honoured to hear some stories from the famous Roscoe onboard!

Admittedly, I am upset that Oranjestad has been cancelled, althought I can't complain that an extra port has been added.
Also not sure why Miami was added. I personally probably won't be leaving the ship given I've been there a fair few times, but apparently Cartagena has a free "Eco Park" with animals, which we may spend some time at.- 1

She is, but as Captain Hudson said, a ship moving forward with an appreciation of her heritage.
I'm a fan of Captain Hudson, he's always well spoken every time I hear him on the PA or in-person. I also like that he thanks the crew at the end of each voyage.

I’ll happily share your champagne next year Myles…. 😄
You're more than welcome to! They've saved two bottles I purchased last cruise for me. Happy to toast to sailing with anyone that wants to. 🙂

I can just imagine it….
“A group of self-proclaimed "elite travelers" on a world cruise decked out in designer outfits and sipping fancy cocktails, chattering animatedly about their exclusive experiences, convinced that their lavish lifestyle sets them apart from the other passengers”.
Nah!!
While I don't imagine there are people that do this, as I haven't done a World Cruise or segment as of yet (68 days but who's counting?) - I'd also point out that no one should judge a book by its cover.
Truth be told, I like champagne. Love it in fact. Would rather spend money on champagne that designer clothes or fancy cocktails.
Point being I wouldn't want someone to assume I have a lavish lifestyle that rivals their own based on the fact I am drinking a specific champagne. I'm even happy to share with people who'd like to sit down & talk, as I just believe being nice & sharing is the nice thing to do.
Will add this photo as it's one of my favourite photos (simply because it's with one of our favourite crew members) - but I think it being rather nonchalant & me just wearing casual clothing (and no, it's not designer..) illustrates you can enjoy the nice things in life without making yourself "exclusive" compared to others.

when it wasn't the naming Maiden and I don't blame anyone who feels they were misled over the Maiden v Naming cruises. Even more so if the ship wasn't really ready as I believe many have said.
While I was annoyed about this, mainly given they announced this after the final balance date - hence no cruises could be moved or changed.
However, my experience with Princess on Sun Princess' maiden voyage was terrible. It was cancelled 2 days before the sailing. When it eventually did set sail, there was no entertainment available, etc. This was a fly cruise too, so hotels & flights had to be cancelled (which we booked ourselves because it was only Rome, to be fair)
My point being, while QA's maiden wasn't great (we had low expectations anyway, so we actually had a great time!) I'd much rather have the QA problems than the Sun Princess problems.- 4

I am stunned. You are forsaking QA, if only temporarily. How can this be?
The "non Cunarder" has to go and ruin the other ships now! 😉

We'll be trying QV in 2026 with a couple I met during my most recent time spent on QA.
QV is also their favourite ship & I commented it would be unfair for me to compare the two given I've only done QV the once, so going back to make things fair!
Will also be my partner's first time on QV (so she'll have completed "the set" then!) and in Grills. So can check those off the list too.. 😉- 1

I'm smuggest about Rolls Royce shares, about 5 times the price I paid - shame I took some profit this time last year. My CCL's are only around double... no dividend apart from $100 a year OBC
For me it'd probably have to be Tesla. Not a fan of Musk, but I've been invested since $20 a share. Been "lucky" with options trading on it, too.

You sat through it?
I walked out after twenty minutes as I was bored stiff.👎
Ditto. Haven't been back since my first 20 minute viewing, either. At least I got to meet the 6ft horse in person on the behind the scenes tour.. he was wonderful.

largely because it has shore power
Mayflower also has this, we used it on Queen Anne in the summer.
EDIT: Ignore me, I thought you were referencing Mayflower as not having it. Apologies.

There are zero newbuildings in the pipeline for Holland America and Cunard and I think also for Princess. And with the debt load Carnival is carrying, for good or ill, QUEEN ANNE is for now and perhaps for longer or forever, the last "Cunarder" regardless of how anyone feels about her. Carnival, I suspects, wishes no one really cares about that, either. Just click "book the cruise" on whatever as long as they own it.
Carnival is continuing to prepay their debts each quarter ($625 million since June this year), as well as proceeding with their new build investments (which are around $3.4 billion).
Princess are building the 2nd Sphere class ship, and I'm sure there will be the possibility for more in any contract with the ship yard, but they've been problematic ships so far.- 2

I've no idea when this lady last sailed P&O but I think she might well be very disappointed if she genuinely believes the experience on any P&O ship will be the same as on Queen Anne.
Agree. Sailed on Iona last year for 1 week and the service was horrible, we were cleaning our own tables of past passenger's mess to make space for drinks (if we got any!)

Now, Cunard resident. I have come across two over the years and BOTH had an adapted Zimmer frame, one with so many trinkets [including a loud horn] I'm surprised she could manoeuvrer it to walk.
Tell me, are Zimmers de rigueur for residents of Cunard or will you find some significant fol-de-rol to denote your residency?
If you DO take up residency, and on QA, love to meet you next year!😃
I don't think I'll be needing a zimmer just yet, well, hopefully. Maybe a unique cruise card design could be interesting to denote it 😆
The wheels are certainly in motion, so we'll have to see what they can come up with.- 2

How is your first day back on terra firma. Is the ground moving up and down ever so slightly?
Truth be told most of it has been spent sleeping! I didn't get too much sleep yesterday so I think my body is trying to catch up. Feels a lot like jet lag.

Even though I now know "whodunnit," I would see it again.
And I would encourage anyone else who's seen it to go again. The show by default will always change given the parts of the audience.
I've seen it probably close to 10 times and my last experience was by far the best & funniest just based on who they picked to play characters.- 3

Mind you, @MylesS is making things slightly easier for them by more or less taking up residence. 😀
It's a tough job but someone has to do it.

Smooth disembarkation this morning, managed to get my large champagne bottles off successfully. They've kept some Cristal that I pre-purchased for the world cruise so we'll be able to enjoy that for the sail away...
Hope everyone has a safe trip back home!- 10

Oh dear....is this your last night (for the moment) ?
Truth be told I did try to extend at least for 1 more week, but the cruise has been sold out and no waitlist came through. I will be back on for the world cruise in 8 weeks though.
To be honest I am rather emotional, and I didn't expect to be, I'm normally not. Maybe it was because I was on my own this time & saying goodbye was a little more difficult, both with the crew & the people I've had the fortune of making friends with this cruise.
I may make another post about this depending on what happens, but I've been in talks with Cunard about spending next year on the ship, so we'll see how that goes. But I do wish I wasn't saying goodbye.- 6

Currently at Room 1840, will be here for a bit. If you can't make it, we've left it with Annabelle at the bar for you 👍
Very sorry I missed you both, I had a late dinner at a quick evening. I recieved your gift from Annabelle, thank you very much! I'll certainly look after it. Really do appreciate it!

On my 99th night on this ship I’ve had the displeasure of meeting probably the rudest couple I’ve ever encountered not just on this ship, but all Cunard Queens.
Such a shame to be swearing and acting like a complete child when the already busy bar staff aren’t serving you 2 minutes after sitting down.
Really hope this people have a humbling experience that makes them change their ways…

New Drinks Package
