Was great to see the lights last night, hopefully I have some success on my tours (thankfully both waitlists came through!)
Lovely day today
CWC party & Fizz tonight, looking forward to both. I think I’ll opt to have dinner in the room tonight as I’ve been out and about around the ship most of the day.

Is that a World Club freebie?
Unfortunately it only gives you half price on the set menu, nothing on the a la carte which these items are from

Alesund looks beautiful but very cold.
Honestly it wasn’t too bad, at least this morning. Walked around the decks with just a light jumper on and was perfectly fine!

Which ships have 5/6 storey lobbies, not long atriums?
Only one that springs to my mind, and I may be wrong, is Coral Princess. But again, that’s an atrium & not a lobby

I must admit, the lack of a climbing wall did trigger a certain hesitation when booking more cruises on Annie, but we overcame our reluctance...reluctantly!
Maybe scaling the front of the funnel could be a new activity added to the Grills Terrace.

Relaxing cruise for myself so far, the weather was a little turbulent today but in a nice way.
Given I booked this very late the Northern Lights tours were sold out, but luckily I was able to join the waitlist and will be going on at least one.
My tour for tomorrow, well, today now (terrible sleep schedule!) was changed due to snow on Sugarlump Mountain, so I decided to cancel that and opt for just getting off and doing my own thing.
The 2027 voyage I signed up for on the last cruise came through today, so that's all booked now. Mouth dropped when I saw my age at sailing go up 2 years...- 6

It's been mentioned on another thread somewhere here, but I really don't know how they'll fit the Christmas tree in the lobby with the (what appears to be) fixed seating in the center.
However, I am looking forward to her being decorated!- 3

I've been watching QA's departure from Southampton this evening via webcam as usual. It wasn't a usual departure however since QA was delayed for a while. The container ship ONE Maneuver broke down with engine problems near Calshot. ONE Maneuver eventually got going again so QA was only delayed about an hour.
It may also be worth noting the passenger count QA reported to Southampton VTS today was the highest I've heard so far (with the caveat that I couldn't hear the count for the maiden voyage). QA reported 2,978 passengers and 1,211 crew for this evening's departure. That eclipses the previous high of 2,914 passengers for her August 28th departure. Perhaps coincidentally that 1,211 crew count is the lowest crew count I've heard QA report so far, down from a high of 1,252 crew for her May 10th departure.
To confirm as well, we were delayed due to “traffic” - so I assume the container ship did have something to do with it.

@jrmende63 or @MylesS or anyone…How many Americans are onboard, if you’ve noticed during the cruise? Just wondering if there are many Americans making the fly/cruise trip for QA? I do like the international diversity I’ve seen on Cunard ships.
I’ve met at least 3 so far.

Are you still on board?
1 more, just to round it off as 100 nights onboard this year.

I’m unable to post the image for some reason, but Pol Acker was changed to Cunard’s own Brut in my new cabin.
RIP Pol Acker maybe? 🤣

Delayed into Zeebrugge this morning, but will hopefully be docked by 11am.
Nice cruise so far, younger crowed as expected. Friend is enjoying Queen Anne so far.
Attended the 2026/2027 launch “event” yesterday, but was told about the form I had already received (and filled out) on the previous voyage. Happily took a free drink, though.

In transit gangway was on deck 1, saved waiting in the long queues on deck 2.
I was told by the pursers I wasn’t allowed to use that gangway as it was for the crew.

Additionally, if you just pay the Cunard Fare deposit, if something comes up you can still move it (only the once though) - it may be 3 years away, but you have that flexibility up until 90 days before departure.

AirPods acquired with some quick brunch, back onboard at 11:30 - super quick reboarding considering there was no in transit gangway!

Quick summary of the trip while I have some tea and wait for the crowds to die down!
I didn’t post as much as I’d have liked to during the cruise given my days were very repetitive, but relaxing.
That being said, this was a nice cruise. I enjoyed the multiple sea days, and the ports we visited given most were new to me.
I met some great people & made some new friends, which was nice as a solo traveller. I will say that I did notice a lack of manners from lots of people on this cruise, even a basic thank you was few & far between.
Definitely the older side this cruise as well, which isn’t a problem for me. With it being 19 nights, I never expected anyone even close to my age range being onboard.
Service continues to be great, at least for me, though other than the cigar lounge (when ordering a drink) I stuck to my favourite bar 1840 because the staff are just beyond fantastic there.
Food still of a good quality, and the few times I did go to the Britannia it was always as you’d expect.
The rougher weather was enjoyable for me, I liked following along on the AIS. As someone doing her first crossing next year, I was a little worried about bad weather, but now I am comfortable with whatever may come.
Will come back again, obviously.. 😂

How is Southampton today?
It’s a nice morning, a little chilly when I went out on deck, so only 1 lap.
I have to pop out to get some new AirPods, as I’ve somehow lost them on this trip!
Disembarkation seems a little slow from what I’ve seen in the past, very large queues.
This time however, with my new cruise card, I was given an “in-transit pass” that I need to use when leaving & joining to the ship, in the terminal (I assume to skip check in), as well as use the crew shuttle.

That’s a bummer…changes the atmosphere of the room. Those who like having a cigar or pipe do so for a long relaxing smoke. Not those in and out for a quick ciggy smoke.
Honestly I didn't have a problem with the people in there. They stayed for a while, and were all sociable. I was in the far corner so was able to enjoy a cigar without their smoke affecting me, but even if it did its not their fault Cunard put their spot in such a bad location.

Just as a PSA to anyone who’s a cigar smoker, at least on this cruise (unsure on the others, as I didn’t use it in the past), but they’re allowing cigarette smokers in there too.
It’s not their fault of course, it’s the crazy bad smoking area the ship does have, however it’s resulted in ash trays having cigarette butts in, as well as their being a bin of them in the corner.
Pre cruise and H425. Followed by H426. Both Live.

Glad you enjoyed 1840 & Aji Wa @DukeBeetle24 - if you do see me there, feel free to say hello!
Morning walk around Tromso today which was nice, followed by a quick McDonald’s lunch (oh the humour of going from Dom last night to McDonalds today 😂)
Back onboard now to have a nap before the northern lights tour this evening.
